The Acropolis Museum houses masterpieces of ancient Greek civilization and art, including sculptures, friezes, and figurines located in Athens, Greece. The Museum Cafe is located on the ground floor level and overlooks the archaeological excavation. The Museum provides a Restaurant on the second floor, with panoramic views of the Acropolis and a 700 square meter public terrace commanding a breathtaking view of the historic hills of Athens.

Only a few miles from our hotel on the island, Oia is a "must-see". Oia remains one of the foremost tourist attractions of the Aegean Sea. The famous Oia sunset, considered by many as one of the most beautiful in the world, keeps tourists flocking down to the castle, waiting for the moment when the sun slips down on the calm sea of the caldera. Tourists are often told that the fishing docks at Oia are the oldest continually used docks in the world, supposedly being in service for 3000 years. While an interesting bit of tourist trivia, no evidence is supplied to validate the claim.

$120/night is not bad at all for this view! At the gulf of Firostefani, on the stately rock that bridges the sky with the sea, the all-white figure of Mill Houses Studios & Suites looks like hovering over the mesmerizing cliff. With a unique view to the Santorini volcano – the symbol of power of a sea that historically united cultures – our small and hospitable unit seems entangled in an indiscernible dialogue with the mythical elements of the island.

We will be staying here for 2 nights, $125/night The hotel was fully renovated in 2007. It's style is modern and simple, as befits the area. The hotel has 7 floors, a roof garden bar and a la carte restaurant, a lobby bar-cafeteria and a cozy area with fireplace in the lobby. All the front rooms have a view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the 7th floor back rooms have a view of the Parthenon ( Acropolis).

There's always a possibility for delayed flights and coffee is a must have!

We will be going to Akrotiri while on Santorini island to visit the red beaches, lighthouse, and Venetian castle! How much fun would it be to have a romantic lunch on a red sanded beach by a light house!

We will be enjoying authentic Greek cuisine with a beautiful private view :D Greek Menu - Black Bread with Olive and Tomato Dip - Greek Salad with Feta Cheese and Capers - Spinach Pie MAIN COURSE Pork Skewer - two pieces - served with Pita Bread OR Traditional Mousaka Fruits in Syrup (grapes or orange or cherry) 2 person with private service, Include one bottle wines white or red.

Everyone's heard of a Greek Salad, but I'm sure we will run across thousands of foods we have never heard of. We (Katherine) will dare to try them and will hopefully live to tell the story when we get back.

We would love to shop around for our favorite piece of art as a cherished keepsake from our once in a lifetime trip. This gift will adorn our home for many years to come!

The wedding or honeymoon isn't even near, but our dog has slowly been eating her way through our flip flops, gift us money to buy flips flops we can tuck away until the honeymoon!

Matt will need luggage of his own for now and forever! Gifting this will keep him from having to share Kat's hot pink suitcases!

Plenty of time will be spent in the sun, so we won't let the rays ruin our perfect trip. Sunscreens and lotions will soothe and protect our skin.

As much as Katherine would love to scuba dive here, Matt is not yet certified, so snorkeling together is the next best thing! Diving in Santorini is known for the clear waters and hence the excellent visibility, which at times can reach 50m. This contributes to the unique experience of diving within the caldera which still shows signs of underwater volcanic activity. Our expeditions take place primarily in the south and west part of the island.

We might never want to come back! haha
