The ultimate wildlife experience! We will be staying in a luxury tent in the middle of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Tiger, Lion, Hippo, Cheetah, Elephant the list gos on and on. Jake and I are ecstatic to say the least.

After the Safari we are taking off to Lamu Island!! We are staying two nights in a Tree House on Manda Island (a short boat ride from Lamu). Its three levels and built around a Baobab Tree!

We are staying two night at the Peponi Hotel. Its in the historic district of Lamu and very beautiful!

We hear these are the first course of a traditional breakfast in Lamu. We will think of you with each sip!!

Might be the single most popular restaurant in Lamu for locals. Serves a whole range of local and regional dishes in canteen style setting.

Popular with locals but not regularly visited by tourists, still well recommended for its small snacks such as mahamri and loads of other little things made of sweet bread, sticky rice or fritters filled with spicy vegetables and/or minced meat.

Mandaazi is described as a sweet deep fried dough cake.. Jake LOVES Mandaazi already!

One of the most popular tourist restaurants in Lamu Town, has a fantastic seaside location offering great people watching, and a good breeze coming in.

We feel that we are pretty spoiled thanks to Colorado's amazing breweries, but we are dying to try some ice cold Kenyan beers. Cheers!

This camera will allow us to capture even the most elusive marine life. This is the perfect gift for us - the warm water tropical travelers.

Plenty of time will be spent in the sun perfecting that perfect tan!

Any help to get to and from our destination is a wonderful gift. We will be thanking you long after take off.

There are no cars in Lamu except one Ambulance. All transportation is done in small wooden boats called Dhows. The other option is Donkey Rides - I will make another tab for those!

Like I mentioned in another post there are no cars in Lamu. The only way to get around is by either Dhow (boat) or by Donkey. They have estimated 3000 donkeys on the island!

We can plan to start our trip with a romantic flair! What better way than with the decadence of this unbeatable combination?

If we can manage to outrun the lions we sure will be thirsty!! Cheers!
