Rachel Lilley and Ryan Meinerding's Honeymoon Registry
Louisiana
So I'm guessing most of you are wondering what is a Honeymoon registry and why have we chosen to do one?
As most of you know, weddings get very expensive very quickly and often people run out of money to treat themselves to a great honeymoon at the end of it all. A honeymoon registry simply allows guests to contribute to either large vacation items such as flights or suites and smaller activities and experiences such as day trips and fancy dinners for the couple whilst they are away.
So we decided instead of traditional gifts, (most of which we already own!), that we would ask our guests to help us towards making our first trip together as husband and wife really special. Plus it saves you guys hauling out toasters, dinner sets and linens to California! :)
I'm sure the other thing you want to know is where are we going? We are off to Louisiana! Yes its a little different to the usual destinations but we wanted to go somewhere away from the ordinary and somewhere special and unique to us. We are starting with four nights in New Orleans. We want to experience all the history and culture that the city is famous for. Then we move inland to Cajun Country, where we have our own private cottage by the lake, to kick back and enjoy some good old fashioned Southern hospitality.
Thanks for logging on and hope to see you all in April!
