We plan to spread ourselves around the island of Bali, soaking in as much culture, street food and variety as we possibly can in the two weeks that we'll be there. Help us insure that we'll have a bed to sleep in when we arrive in that distant village and knock on the door of the local Hotel 6!

Soooo, Nicole and I like to eat. A lot. Hence the picture to the left. In fact when we recently compiled the photos from our past adventures we discovered that more than 63.5% of them are "action shots" of us stuffing food into our gaping maws. Well, two weeks in Bali sounds pretty sweet, but getting there is really only the first (and most important) battle to fight!

Bali is big, and since the majority of the roads are paved it behooves us to take advantage of them. Mind you, we won't be driving - even as New Yorker's we've heard it's a different game over there. And yes, alternately, we tried to reserve a mule, but there was a blemish on Nicole's International Mule License from her days back in New Zealand. She doesn't want to talk about it... go figure!

Not sexy, but necessary when traveling off the beaten path. Don't you want us to come back safe and sound?!? If not, you must really hate us. Or have been with us when we eat too much cheese.

You wouldn't head into the vast wilderness of Western Bali without a knowledgeable local guide, would you? Well, neither will we.

We both love snorkeling and Bali has some of the best around - literally. $50 nets (pun intended) a 4 hour guided tour of a rarely visited reef. Help us catch a rash from fire coral!

We’ll need a spa day just to ourselves! There are many things that Bali is known for, but pampering massages, holistic relaxation experiences, and general weirdery with hot stones and salt scrubs are near the top of the list. We want to be the BEST at relaxing... and we will stop at nothing to get there!

Help us accomplish a life long dream of ours: racing zebras! This horse-like creature is known for its incredible endurance, its insatiable passion and its well documented inability to be domesticated. With your help we plan to corral 2 wild males, saddle them and race them. Jason will name his Leroy, and Nicole will name hers Margaret. Two worthy names!
