Travel for approximately one hour from Belize City along quaint country roads to the ancient site of Altun Ha. This site captured world attention when Dr. David Pendergast discovered the now famous nine-and-a-half pound jade head of the sun god named Kinich Ahau in the tomb of the Royal Priest, within the main temple. Three plazas and 13 structures mark the epicenter of this important ceremonial site. Prepared stone steps allow you to climb to the top of three of the main temples. Note: The drive to Altun Ha is approximately 50 minutes, with the last five miles to the site on bumpy and unpaved roads.

Relax at one of Costa Maya's newest and most popular beaches. Enjoy a walk along the beach or a game of volleyball and enjoy the open bar with all your favorite Mexican drinks and local soft drinks. Shuttles returning to your ship are available every 90- minutes. Note: Restrooms/changing room facilities and freshwater showers are available. Jet-ski rentals and a Mexican buffet style lunch are available at an additional cost.

After a 35-minute scenic drive, spend your day at this beautiful private beach resort located on Roatan's famous West End. You'll be given snorkel equipment from your ship to use at your leisure. The Great Mayan Reef is a very popular snorkel site, with easy walk-in entry and access to many different species of fish, coral, stingrays and turtles. After snorkeling, enjoy an outdoor American-style lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.) and have a drink at the cash bar. You can even pick up a few souvenirs at the gift shop.
