Your adventure begins on arrival at Tulum, where you can walk or take a trolley on the ¾-mile road to the entrance. Your expert guide escorts you and other Carnival cruisers on a fascinating narrated tour of the incredible walled city, perched dramatically on 50-foot-high cliffs. The three walls average 23 feet in thickness—making this one of the most well-fortified towns in Mayan history. Once your guided tour is over, you’ll have plenty of time to explore Tulum on your own. Head to the imposing ruined castle—El Castello—perched on the cliff-top overlooking the Caribbean Sea, a fantastic spot for taking photographs. When you get up close, you can see the serpent-like columns, with the powerful carved tails supporting the roof and heads reaching to the floor.

Travel by air-conditioned motor coach to the Jaguar Jungle Camp where river guides will outfit you for your adventure. Hike through the jungle trail to the Caves Branch River. Feel the rush of cool water as you meander down small rapids and through the caves. After your adventure, you make your way out the river and up to the Bush-camp Café to enjoy a tasty lunch.

Encounter shaded trails, waterfalls, a bird sanctuary, and white face Capuchin Monkeys roaming about in the Monkey Refuge at Gumbalimba Park, Roatan’s finest preservation park. Trace the steps of real pirates at Coxen’s Cave and stroll through the botanical gardens. Travel just 5 minutes away from the park to the beautiful Tabyana Beach. Be greeted by powder white sand, cool trade winds and island music. Bask in the sun on your lounge chair at the water’s edge or retreat to the shade of lush tropical vegetation. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the turquoise waters and go underwater to explore the coral near the shore.

Visit world famous 7-mile beach and the old Homestead for a photo stop. Tour the Turtle Farm, a one of a kind facility that is home to thousands of turtles. Arrive at the town called Hell, featuring a pre-historical rock formation that some think hell must surely look like. Stop at Stingray City for a boat ride out to the Sand Bar. Hold and pet the stingrays in shallow waters (3 – 4 feet).
