With your wonderful gift we'll spend a night on the town, dance, laugh, and let loose. 

We will enjoy a relaxing day seeing the wonderful sights of the many botanical gardens on Kauai! While exploring the gardens, we will come across fragrant tropical flowers and lush plants and learning about the impact they have on the precious ecosystems.

100% downhill and 100% fun! We will enjoy an exhilarating bike ride down 13 miles of winding, paved roads from the rim of spectacular Waimea Canyon (elevation 3500 feet) to the shores of the blue Pacific Ocean.

During the two mile river journey, we’ll hear songs and stories of ancient Hawaii — like the King’s Highway, sacred Mount Kapu, and the First Hau Tree. In addition, we will enjoy learning the hula during a lesson provided by a young hula dancer. Even ERIC will get into the act during the river cruise!

We will zip line across the trees and enjoy a picnic lunch at a swimming hole only accessible by zip line.

What better way to enhance our fine dining experience than with our chosen bottle of exceptional wine? We'll pick a good bottle of red. Cheers!

The catch of the day awaits us! As seafood lovers it will be hard to choose from the different types of seafood restaurants and the variety of fresh fish, all complemented by delectable side dishes, fresh vegetables, and an incredible selection of wines. A delicious treat!

A table will be reserved for us at our favorite restaurant. We can choose from fresh fruits, freshly baked pastries, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, French toast, hash browns, juice and coffee. Give us the works. We need our energy on our getaway. There will be no diet in Kauai. 

We will start with our favorite delicacies at the sushi bar in our chosen Japanese restaurant. Then, enjoy the authentic Japanese dining room, where award-winning chefs skillfully twirl their knives through the air during the teppanyaki cooking show. We may even try a glass or two of hot sake; probably not!

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and impeccable service.

With so many ice cream parlors in town, we'll try everything from hot fudge sundaes to soft serve ice cream and thick milkshakes. Who cares about the diet on our fantastic getaway!

Hawaii is the only state where the chocolate tree grows, and the only place on Kauai where we can experience a live chocolate tree orchard is at Steelgrass Farm, a family’s eight-acre tropical garden specializing in vanilla, bamboo, and theobroma cacao, the chocolate tree. Elizabeth is looking forward to this adventure!
