Known as the "surfing capital of the world," Oahu's North Shore spans from La'ie to Ka'ena Point. Still, it's an area that far too many visitors never take the opportunity to see. Oahu's North Shore is home to the top world-class surfers in the world when the winter waves reach their majestic heights. Be sure to stop at the Banzai Pipeline where you can see surfers make their way through the middle of a wave.

The unique profile of Diamond Head (Le'ahi) sits prominently near the eastern edge of Waikiki's coastline. Hawaii's most recognized landmark is known for its historic hiking trail, stunning coastal views, and military history. Diamond Head State Monument encompasses over 475 acres, including the interior and outer slopes of the crater.

One of Oahu's most rewarding hikes is the 2.5-mile round trip hike to Makapu'u Point, the most eastern point of Oahu.

We will tour through downtown Honolulu where we see Iolani Palace, the King Kamehameha statue, Chinatown and downtown. We will visit the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and view a film detailing the events of December 7, 1941. Next, we will board the ferry to the USS Arizona Memorial where we'll get a glimpse into history like no other.

Underwater adventure

It was on the USS Missouri the Instrument of Formal Surrender of Japan to the Allied Powers was signed by representatives of the allied nations and the government of Japan in Tokyo Bay on September 2, 1945.
