A gondola ride is the quintessence of romantic Venice! We will enjoy a soothing journey along the canals and be captivated by the glamour and elegance of this true Italian honeymoon experience. We'll be taken to a spectacular water front Venetian restaurant to be wined and dined in style. Simply heaven!

With four days in Dubrovnik, we hope to explore it as much as we can in the water and renting kayaks will give us the chance to find our very own off-the-beaten path cove....

We hope to visit some fascinating museums here...Lisa is particularly looking forward to seeing the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments and we'll both enjoy wandering the Museum of Croatia and the Mestrovic Gallery. Yep! Sort of a busman's holiday!

We hope to dive at least once in the Adriatic Sea - and then it's off to our windsurfing!

Lisa agreed to the Grand Prix; now David hunts the dreaded truffle. Hey! Marriage is all about compromise...

We'll use the Hotel San Rocco as our base to head out truffle hunting and exploring the Croatian hill towns.

Could there be a better name for a honeymoon hotel? And, it serves organic food and is decorated using feng shui.

Situated near the Plitvice National Park in Croatia, this is the perfect place to start exploring the waterfalls, lakes, and trails.

We'll settle into the Apartment Kaznacic in Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, for three days and nights of playing on the Adriatic Sea.

Our first two nights in Croatia will be spent in Rovinj, a lovely fishing village.

Split, Croatia--gateway to the islands! (Hey, how often do you get to stay near one of the old Roman emperor Diocletian's palaces?)

What better way to enhance our fine dining experience than with our chosen bottle of exceptional wine.Cheers!

We need to be fortified to tour the city and the sea.

We plan to take advantage of this romantic city and have our breakfast served in our room....at least one morning!

We'll want to stop every day in St. Mark's Square and do some people watching while we sip some fabulous Italian coffee (or wine)and nibble on biscotti.

We'll have three nights of stopping along the way and discovering "our place."

Who ever thought we'd say those three words? Can't wait to sample the local fare in Croatia!

Lisa is hoping for truffles...and David? Truffles on top of his steak!

We can't wait to share romantic sunset dinners on the beach in Croatia!

We can't wait to sample all the pastas that Venice can offer...which is why we'll bringing our elastic waistband pants with us!

We'll celebrate the end of our honeymoon and the beginning of our married life overlooking the Adriatic Sea in Dubrovnik.

After spending our days at the Italian Grand Prix in Milan, we will definitely look forward to our first, leisurely meals on Italian soil.

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and impeccable service.

What a great way to explore Venice! Jump on the boat . . . jump off the boat . . . jump on the boat . . .

What better way to get the lay of the land as we head out for the beach for some much needed R&R?

Milan? Dubrovnik? We'll need help navigating to and from the airports on the first and last day of our honeymoon. Not sure how many limos there are in Croatia...but a taxi will do just fine.

As David enjoys the speed of the Grand Prix, Lisa will enjoying the soothing sights and sounds of Lake Como.

Well, it's either that or hopping on a wave runner!

Hey! It's Lisa's birthday today! Let's treat her to first class!

From the coast to the hill towns to the national forest, we'll sing every song you ever knew.

This is the "train" part of the "planes, trains, and automobiles." We leave the mad dash of the Grand Prix in search of romance along the canals of Venice.

Any help to get to and from our destination is a wonderful gift. We will be thanking you long after take off.

September 14 - Lisa's birthday. Let's celebrate!

We'll be happy we have each other to cling to tonight!

A personal lockable honeymoon journal to record our most special memories. We will look back over the journal fondly in the years to come.

When we leave Italy and Croatia, we will be able to keep our memories alive with a photo album created by David.

We can plan to start our trip with a romantic flair! What better way than with the decadence of this unbeatable combination?
