The Belize Zoo is home to about 150 animals, all of which represent over 45 species which are native to Belize. The zoo keeps animals which are rescued, born at the zoo, orphaned, rehabilitated, or simply just a donation from other zoological institutions. Animals we will see here are jaguars, crocodiles, toucans along with other magnificent birds, tapir (our national animal) and other exotic mammals all living in their natural habitat.

We will hike for about 30 minutes through the magical Belizean rainforest then tube down the refreshing Caves Branch River and through spectacular cave systems, which the ancient Mayas regarded as a sacred underworld and home to many powerful gods.

The Mayan civilization left extensive ruins across Belize. Xunantunich is one of the most prominent. Here we'll clamber over thousand-year-old stones, climb the great pyramid of El Castillo -- the second-highest structure in Belize -- and learn about the ancient Mayans.

Belize is home to the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Just imagine all the tropical fish and coral we will see.

Help us start off our new adventure in love through an adventure in the jungle. We will explore a day through the jungle zip lining through the tree tops.

We'll take a quick flight from Belize CIty to San Pedro where we'll be transported by boat to our beachfront hideaway in Ambergris Caye
