There is nothing like a relaxing horseback ride taking in the beautiful scenery of our surroundings.

Just 1 hour from Panama City begins Panama's Rivera, a string of lovely, uncrowded beaches. One of the best things about Panama's Pacific is that the water is warm! You can drive or go with a tour guide. On San Carlos beach, there's the Centro Turistico with day trip facilities- good beach, bathrooms, showers, pools etc.

One of the best things about trip is ocean ferry trip -enjoy ocean breezes, views of Panama City's magnificent skyline and ship activity at the entrance to the Panama. Taboga itself is not yet developed as a tourism destination- so this is good trip if you don't mind a certain lack of perfection in facilties and signage etc. Once on Taboga, make your way to the beach in front of the old Taboga hotel to enjoy warm Pacific waters. Then stroll the tiny town once a pirates haven . There's simple restaurants and a church founded in 1550- the second oldest in the Western hemisphere.

Right out of the pages of National Geographic, an unforgettable encounter with a living Indian culture in Panama's rainforest. You'll take a motorized canoe, the only means of transport in the jungle, up a scenic rainforest river to an authentic Embera Indian village on a river bank. The village consists of rough wood and palm homes on stilts typical of the jungle Indians. The Emberas will perform a tribal dance, offer you body paintings with rainforest dyes and their exquisite handicrafts. You'll share a typical meal and learn about their way of life, traditions and beliefs.

El Valle is a quaint flower filled mountain town 2 hours from Panama City which is situated inside a massive extinct volcano crater. The main attractions are its large artisans market, mountain views, a great restaurant, a thrilling Canopy Zipline Tour through rainforest canopy, thermal springs and a small tropical zoo Nisperos. We recommend lunch at the famous gourmet restaurant Casa de Lourdes. For a budget meal, lunch at Pinocchio's Pizza or a have the delicious Panamanian chicken soup "Sancocho" at local cafe.

See the resident troupe of howler monkeys, hummingbirds, caiman, sloth and other fascinating flora and fauna on this half day botanical garden tour. Wonder the trails with the naturalist guide and learn about natural medicinal plants and flowers that call this 24 acre tropical garden home. A delicious tropical lunch will be served and you can lounge around the pool or take a refreshing swim. Enjoy the tranquillity of this lush and wonderful garden farm.

Just two miles from the center of Panama City you'll visit Panama La Vieja founded on 1519 (this city was burned in 1671 and the capital of Panama was moved two miles west), then we'll take you to the historic neighborhood of Casco Antiguo (Colonial City) to admire the structure of the colonial monuments, we'll visit also the Museum of the Panama Canal, then make a stop to see the city with a panoramic view while we have an exquisite lunch and finally we'll visit the Miraflores locks.

Spend the day in the beautiful Las Perlas Islands! Depart Panama City in this private luxury boat with a maximum of 10 guests for the 1.5 hour cruise to Isla Contadora. Once there, enjoy snorkeling and swimming in the crystal clear blue waters and walk along private deserted beaches. You will have time to discover and explore the island and have lunch at one of the great restaurants, or simply relax on the beach. On your return trip to the city, the boat will visit the anchor area of the ships waiting to transit the canal. A great way to see and relax in the Pearl Islands.

Experience a canoe excursion through lake Gatun ending at a pristine water hole & cascade where you can bathe. Go fishing, swimming and kayaking as part of the afternoon activities. This full day tour includes panamanian lunch and sodas/bottled water.

A picturesque bay side town with the ruins of four Spanish forts and a restored customs house. About a two hour trip from Panama City on the Atlantic Coast, Portobello is set on a scenic Caribbean bay. During the Spanish Colonial era it was the trans-shipment point for all the treasure Spain looted from Inca Empire. Treasure was stored, displayed in fairs and then shipped to Spain. The fabulous treasures stacked high in the customs house made Portobello the favorite target of English pirates like Sir Francis Drake who attacked the city's forts repeatedly. Sir Francis met his demise in waters nearby and was buried in an iron casket that has still not been found.

It's casual, fun and perfect for an afternoon lunch. With so many restaurants in town, we'll choose the most perfect, casual restaurant where we'll take delight in the juiciest burgers, fresh sandwiches, chicken and fries!

Dining at Los Lagartos Restaurant at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort is both a dining and an eco-event. On the Chagres River at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort the fare is with tropical and international dishes with international buffet on Sundays. As you dine view with huge ships floating silently by in the Panama Canal.The big attraction is a "show" of tropical wildlife from the deck: ask a waiter to give you some bread to throw to the river below. Alligators, colorful tropical birds, dozens of large turtles and fish will all flock to gobble up the bread pieces. Great fun. And guess who wins this tropical animal food fight?

We’ll love a night just to ourselves! Indulging in the romantic ambiance, we’ll enjoy tantalizing cuisine at our favorite restaurant and make a toast to our lives together!

At our favorite Steak House, we'll reserve a table so we can tantalize our tastebuds! We'll choose from an array of prime aged steaks, chops, bone-In New York, filet mignon, double pork chops and racks of lamb. All choices are grilled the classic way juicy, tender, with the flavors developed fully. This is a sanctuary for us steak aficionados. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

With so many ice cream parlors in town, we'll try everything from hot fudge sundaes to soft serve ice cream and thick milkshakes. Who cares about the diet on our fantastic getaway!

We would love to shop around for our favorite piece of art as a cherished keepsake from our once in a lifetime trip. This gift will adorn our home for many years to come!
