We will tour the sights of 'The Alice' including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Visit the School of the Air where we will be able to listen to the children take lessons on air. Stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where we will see unique Central Australian reptiles such as the Perentie and Thorny Devil. Conclude with a panoramic view of Alice Springs and the surrounding ranges from the top of Anzac Hill.

This ‘hop on – hop off’ Town Tour operates on a continual 70 minute loop of the major attractions in Alice Springs. Experienced guides provide a full and informative commentary on each attraction as well as pointing out many interesting features and facts about Alice Springs.

This morning tour will take us to Te Puia and the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where we will view mighty geysers, boiling mud pools, and the traditional arts & culture of the Maori People. We will also experience Rainbow Springs which is a unique showcase of New Zealand's flora and fauna including New Zealand's national icon, a kiwi bird. Last but not least, we will have a hands on experience at the Agrodome Sheep Show, giving us an animated insight into New Zealand's farming history.

In the afternoon we will get to know the bustling city of Sydney. While walking along the beautiful sands of the world-renowned Bondi Beach, we will see cosmopolitan Kings Cross, exclusive Double Bay and Vaucluse as well as trendy Paddington with its beautiful lace fronted Victorian Terraces. Our tour will also take in views of Mrs. Macquarie's Chair, one of Sydney's most visited and photographed views, The Rocks, Sydney Opera House, St.Mary's Cathedral, Sydney Tower, Darling Harbour and much more.

Travel by luxury coach on an unforgettable journey from Queenstown into Milford Sound. Located within the World Heritage Fiordland National Park, this region is rich with dense rainforest, lakes and waterfalls cascading from rugged mountain peaks. Journey through the Southern Alps via the Homer Tunnel, a 1.2km tunnel drilled through a solid mountain of rock. Upon arrival at Milford Sound, board a Red Boat vessel for a spectacular cruise where we will see the wonders of Mitre Peak, glacier scarred rock walls that rise 1,200m vertically from the sea, and waterfalls that tumble from hanging valleys and crash into the sound far below.

Our guide will show us Dunedin's famous heritage buildings, including the University of Otago which is the oldest University in New Zealand and we'll be able to take a picture of one of the most photographed buildings in the world: the Dunedin Railway Station. We can also climb up Baldwin Street with us which is the world's steepest street! We'll go to lookouts to see a beautiful view of Dunedin and the Otago Harbour. Travel by road along the scenic Otago Peninsula, seeing various species of wading birds in their natural habitats. Then take a guided tour at the Royal Albatross Centre, viewing the majestic Royal Albatross from an observatory in their natural environment. Go on a guided walking tour at Penguin Place to see and learn about the Yellow Eyed Penguin, the most endangered in the world, found only on the south east coast of New Zealand. A short bus trip over the farm takes us to the reserve. While in the reserve our guide will lead us through a unique system of covered trenches into viewing hides; allowing access to the living areas and breeding grounds of this shy penguin. We will continue our tour to the tip of the Otago Peninsula for a One Hour Wildlife Cruise aboard the M.V.Monarch. Enjoy unrivalled wildlife viewing. See what cannot be seen from the land: Albatross, New Zealand Fur Seals and up to 20 species of bird and marine life in their undisturbed and otherwise inaccessible environment. Learn the fascinating history and geology of the area. Cruise the length of the beautiful Otago Harbour, passing by the historic fishing village of Careys Bay and the working port of Port Chalmers.

Shotover Jet ride; it's an adrenaline rush you'll never forget! From the moment the accelerator hits the floor adrenaline hits the roof as we speed in mere centimeters of water along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyons. It's an amazing ride, as the Shotover Canyon walls tower over, an expert driver puts our 'Big Red' through its paces and skillfully whips the Jet Boat past rocky outcrops, skims around crags and boulders, and speeds through the narrow canyons.

The spectacular Franz Josef Glacier descends to just 250 meters above sea level amidst the greenery and lushness of a temperate rainforest. Of all the accessible temperate glaciers in New Zealand, the Franz Josef Glacier is easily the steepest and fastest moving. While many glaciers world wide have been retreating, the Franz Josef Glacier still flows almost to sea level, through a temperate rainforest of ancient podocarp trees and other evergreen species. This combination of ice and temperate rainforest is a unique feature of New Zealand's glacier country, and is an ecosystem found nowhere else in the world.

Travel south from Auckland, through the rich farmland of the Waikato, and onto Waitomo. Here we will enjoy a guided tour through the long galleries and lofty chambers of the world famous Glowworm Caves. Our tour continues with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto, illuminated by thousands of tiny lights from the glow worms suspended from the cave ceiling.

A superb resort hotel fronting 500 metres of a secluded, dazzling white-sand beach that shelves down to the azure blue water. The resort is rich in Balinese materials and fine indigenous traditional craftsmanship. All rooms have a private balcony or terrace with view over the large gardens that are landscaped with lagoons, cascades, and ornamental pools, sculpted in ancient within palatial motifs. This evening will engage us in a wonderful experience at the Tamaki Maori Village. The host tribe will send out a toa (warrior) who will challenge the guests, via their elected chief to ascertain if they come in peace. A Teka (peace offering) is placed and received by one of the visiting chiefs. At the Village, the Karanga, or "welcome call", will echo across the courtyard, followed by the Powhiri (welcome dance). We will then enter onto the village grounds where the Tangata Whenua (people of the land) will demonstrate different activities such as poi twirling, hand games, weaponry displays, reciting chants and displaying activities of an era gone by. We will enjoy a succulent Hangi feast. The evening ends with the Poroporoaki, the official closing ceremony.

The TranzAlpine scenic train journey travels between Christchurch and Greymouth, from one coast of New Zealand to the other. From our carriage we'll see the fields of the Canterbury Plains and farmland, followed by the spectacular gorges and river valleys of the Waimakariri River. The train then climbs into the Southern Alps before descending through lush beech rain forest to the West Coast town of Greymouth - a great base for visits to Punakaiki and the always popular glaciers.

We will rise early this morning to travel to the Uluru sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. After watching the sunrise we will join our AAT Kings Driver Guide for a tour around the base of Uluru. We will travel by coach to the Mutitjulu Walk where we will be escorted to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole to view Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area as our Driver Guide indicates some native flora and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. We'll visit the Uluru, Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, to learn about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts, before returning to Ayers Rock Resort. On days when the Uluru Climb is open, those with a good level of fitness will have the opportunity to climb Uluru as an alternative to the Uluru Base Tour.
