We will begin the tour with a wonderful drive of contrast and change from the dry-side resort area to the lush green country of Kohala. Along the way we'll journey up the North Kona and Kohala coastlines over lava flows from Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and the Kohala Mountains. We'll pass through the quaint plantation towns of Hawi and Kapaau, site of the life-size statue of King Kamehameha. At the end of the road we will pass through a locked gate onto private property, and the real fun begins with a bumpy but short off-road drive in our 6WD Pinzgauer on an old cane road.

We will journey from sea level to the cosmos! On this adventure we will witness a sunset from Hawaii's most sacred location, Mauna Kea, amid its largest collection of telescopes on earth. We will enjoy a picnic dinner that precedes a sunset view of Haleakala on Maui and Mauna Loa. After the sunset, we’ll descend to the Visitor's Information Station for hot beverages and chocolate macadamia nut cookies. A telescope waits for star gazing, and an interpretive guide offers a personal and educational look at the observable universe.

With your wonderful gift we'll spend a night on the town, dance, laugh, and let loose at Oahu's hot spots.

For those of you who are in on the joke, the bride will be given intro and beginner fire service lessons.

At any desired Chinese food restaurant we'll reserve a table and savor the exotic flavors of Asian Cuisine. We may even use our chopsticks!

Thai food is dazzling and exotic. We will reserve a table to enjoy tantalizing dishes that will awake our taste buds as we dine on cuisine born out of artistry and ingenuity at our favorite restaurant!

We will start with our favorite delicacies at the sushi bar in our chosen Japanese restaurant. Then, enjoy the authentic Japanese dining room, where award-winning chefs skillfully twirl their knives through the air during the teppanyaki cooking show. We may even try a glass or two of hot sake.

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and impeccable service.

At our favorite Steak House, we'll reserve a table so we can tantalize our tastebuds! We'll choose from an array of prime aged steaks, chops, bone-In New York, filet mignon, double pork chops and racks of lamb. All choices are grilled the classic way juicy, tender, with the flavors developed fully. This is a sanctuary for us steak aficionados. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

Hawaii is home to many Japanese and here, their cuisine is as authentic as it gets. This dining experience will feel as though we took another trip.

With so many ice cream parlors in town, we'll try everything from hot fudge sundaes to soft serve ice cream and thick milkshakes. Who cares about the diet on our fantastic getaway!

We would love to shop around for our favorite piece of art as a cherished keepsake from our once in a lifetime trip. This gift will adorn our home for many years to come!

We have to check out Paia, a hip surfer town located east of Kahului on Hwy 36 (Hana Hwy). Here, we will shop at an array of small local boutiques with crafts, contemporary surfer-styles and old-fashioned vintage collectibles and honeymoon souvenirs!
