The 17-Mile Drive is widely recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the world. The famous coastal landmark runs through Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach, from the dramatic Pacific coastline to the majestic Del Monte Forest. We will see the Long Cypress, Spanish Bay, and Point Joe. For dinner, we will eat at The Bench inside The Lodge at Pebble Beach. It is a casual, yet sophisticated dining experience overlooking the 18th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Since Elissa refuses to let me get in a shark cage in the Pacific Ocean to see a great white shark up close, the next best thing is to see one in an aquarium. Monterey Bay Aquarium is one of the best aquariums in the nation. It's also the only one that keeps great whites.... which is why we're going!!!

For those of you that know Elissa, it should come as no surprise that it has always been one of her dreams to play a round of golf at the famous Pebble Beach. One round will cost about $600 including her club rental. Help make her dream a reality by contributing to her green fee! This will not only be a major highlight of the trip for her, but also a round of golf that she will never forget!

This state park stretches from the Big Sur coastline into nearby 3,000-foot ridges. Our main reason for going is to see McWay Falls, an 80-foot waterfall that drops from granite cliffs directly into the ocean.

San Luis Obispo is central to several fabulous beaches. We will be visiting Morro Bay State Park and relaxing on Pismo Beach for a stunning sunset finale to the day.

The Hearst Castle has a rich history and Elissa and I cannot wait to go and explore all 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens!

We can't wait to take a romantic horseback ride along the beautiful Santa Barbara coastline at sunset. We will be doing this activity on our last night in California.

We will be staying in Monterey, Big Sur, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara. Help us upgrade to a room with a breathtaking ocean view!

We were told that the experience dinning in this Mediterranean style restaurant is one that we will never forget. Apparently, they cater to you hand and foot and make you feel like you are part of the family. Being serenaded with a guitar by the owner is a common occurrence. We hear the food is pretty amazing, too.

There is this ongoing battle between TexMex and MexiCali food! We want to find out for ourselves to determine which version of Mexican food is the best. This place was highly recommended by a friend.

This is a stunning location with breath taking views of the Big Sur Coast. The Nepenthe restaurant is an iconic location in Big Sur that has been opened since 1949. They serve up old family traditional style cuisine. We will have dinner here and watch the beautiful sunset on the terrace.

Fisherman's Wharf is one of San Francisco’s most popular visitor destinations with TONS of neat shops. We will visit PIER 39, do some shopping, and, of course, have dessert at the Ghirardelli Chocolate Marketplace.

Cannery Row houses an eclectic blend of specialty shops, local artists' galleries, and more than 25 restaurants and world-class attractions that make Cannery Row a top tourist destination. We will visit the many shops and have dinner at one of the restaurants by the bay.

Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, this little city is home to a number of bakeries, restaurants, and merchants offering a taste of Denmark in California. The architecture of many of the façades and buildings reflects traditional Danish style. We will do some shopping here and pick up some authentic Danish desserts! Don't be misled by the picture. There's no hut houses over the water in Solvang... there were just no other picture choices for this one...

We will be getting a comfortable car to trek all 500 miles of the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles.

Considering we will be doing lots of sight seeing and California gas is ridiculous, contributions to our gas expenses will be greatly appreciated and will ensure we do not get stranded.

We can't wait to sit back, relax, and enjoy a couples massage together.
