We will take a 1 1/2 hour nighttime tour through a bioluminescent bay. The water contains microorganisms that glow when disturbed, so each stroke of our paddles will illuminate the water! We are excited to experience what promises to be a magical journey.

The Cayman Turtle Farm offers a wide variety of experiences in one place. There are different pools/ponds/tanks for turtles at different life stages: hatchery, yearling turtles, and the age advanced. We have the opportunity to swim and play with turtles in different pools and lagoons. A 9-foot crocodile named Smiley puts on a show. The park also contains a Predator Reef where we will observe sharks, an Aviary where Caribbean birds fly freely, and a nature trail on which to hike. In addition to the animals and snorkeling, the Turtle Farm contains a water park with a large swimming pool and water slides.

The Cayman Islands are the location of some of the most brilliant scuba diving locations on the planet. Since we will be in one of the scuba diving capitals of the world, we will try our hand at diving. Afternoon a two hour morning training session, we will make one afternoon dive down to 40’ to experience the brilliance of the Cayman sea life.

We will sail on a Catamaran boat to two locations for snorkeling. The first location is Stingray Sandbar, where the stingrays have become so friendly that they play with visitors and eat out your hand. We will then go to another location, where we will snorkel off beautiful coral reefs with brightly colored fish.

After being married in front of dolphins in Chicago, we will swim with dolphins in the Caymans. The Dolphin Royal Swim includes hug, kiss, song, and playtime. The dolphins will shoot us out of the water by pushing us from the soles of our feet, and then they will take us for a ride as we hang on to their dorsal fins. We cannot wait to experience the presence of these powerful, tender animals.

We will go to the premiere restaurant on Grand Cayman—Blue by Eric Ripert (Ritz-Carlton). The six course tasting menu promises to deliver unforgettable French fare, while relaxing with a view overlooking the bay.

With each course of dinner at Blue by Eric Ripert, we will enjoy the recommended wine pairings.
