After deep discussion and deliberation regarding the details of our wedding, we determined that in order to have a wedding the size we need, where we could accommodate all our wonderful friends and family (very blessed with so many), would cost about as much as a substantial down payment on a house. Additionally, although Tina loves to stand in front of masses of people and speak, Brad is a little shy about that kind of thing and may faint. :)
All kidding aside, we have opted for a small, quiet ceremony in an elegant historic venue near the Cape Fear River in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is where we first met and holds a lot of sentimental value for us both. We wish you could ALL be there, but you will all be there with us in spirit because we love and cherish you all so very, very much!
There is a party being planned to be held in Charlotte, by some loving and gracious friends, in our honor to celebrate our union. This will be soon after our wedding and honeymoon. In other words, we get to celebrate with our friends and family for longer. It's like an extended birthday celebration when your birthday falls in the middle of the week and you celebrate for the week AND the weekend, only MUCH BETTER!!!
