Thank you for visiting our Honeymoon Registry! We look forward to sharing our wedding day with all of our friends and family in NOLA!

There are so many places in the world that we considered for our honeymoon but in the end the wonderful decision was made to travel to Peru and hike to Machu Picchu. Neither of us could imagine a more special place to be on our first trip together as a married couple!

We will start out in the culinary mecca of Lima, Peru and then travel by plane to Iquitos where we will start our 3 night adventure at Treehouse Lodge deep in the Amazon rainforest. We will then travel by plane to Cusco. After a couple of days acclimating to the altitude we will begin our journey to Machu Picchu!

Day Trip from Lima

Day Trip from Lima

A full day trip from Lima takes us to the Ballesta Islands where we will encounter penguins and thousands of sea lions. From there we travel to Ica and learn the process of wine and pisco making at local bodegas. The last stop on this trip takes us to the real life oasis of Huacachina Lagoon where we will be sand boarding and touring a desert on a sand buggy!

We will be taken out on a boat deep in to the Amazon Rainforest to stay at a Treehouse Lodge. The price of this stay includes sleeping in the high tree tops of the jungles and all meals and excursions. We will be traveling by plane to Peru and then will have a flight from Lima to Iquitos where we will start our Amazon adventure.  We will then fly to Cusco for the Machu Picchu portion of the trip and end with our flight back to Lima.  Any help to get to and from our destinations is a wonderful gift. We will be thanking you long after take off.
