On our honeymoon, we’ll witness the most beautiful and famous attractions of Tokyo! At the Tokyo Tower we’ll admire a bird’s eye view of the city and its breathtaking surroundings. After enjoying a tea ceremony adorned with Bonsai trees we’ll indulge in a traditional barbeque lunch at Chinzanso Restaurant. Next, we’ll take a joy ride passing by the Japanese Capitol and make a short stop to do some shopping in front of the Imperial Palace. We’ll board our boat to enjoy a short cruise to Asakusa where we’ll admire the centuries old temples and do more shopping at Nakimise Shopping Street!

We can’t wait to witness Kamakura and its beautiful attractions on our honeymoon in Tokyo! When we arrive in Kamakura we’ll visit the 750-year-old Great Buddha at Kotokuin Temple and drive along the Pacific Coast to Hakone National Park to enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi. We’ll enjoy a cable car ride to the top of Mt. Komagatake for magnificent views of Mt. Fuji then indulge in traditional Japanese lunch in the palace Hotel Hakone!

Our chosen hotel - the Best Western in the Shinjuku provence of downtown Tokyo - was picked to be a comfortable home base from which we can explore the culture shock of the city.  The bilingual staff will help us navigate the language and assist us in booking excursions during our stay. Offering American style breakfast, free wifi, and an incredibly central location - just minutes from the subway and rail systems - we believe it will serve as a comfortable home away from home. Each Gift represents one night of our (hopefully) 14 night stay.  Thank you so much for your generosity!

We might start with our favorite delicacies at the sushi bar in our chosen Japanese restaurant. Or enjoy an authentic Japanese dining room, where award-winning chefs skillfully twirl their knives through the air during the teppanyaki cooking show. We may even try a glass or two of hot sake.  Help us enjoy the renowned cuisine by treating us to dinner!

Whether on the run, or taking some time to slow down, we plan on experiencing many different cuisines for lunch. Whether grabbing a snack from a street vendor, or sitting down in one of the many noodle houses of Tokyo, we are excited to sample the delicacies of Japanese culture.

Japan is home to hundreds of incredible shrines and temples - all with their own small cost of entry. Help us get around and experience the culture with this donation.
