Our 3-week Canadian trip starts out trucking the motorcycles thru California with an overnight stay in SF with a close friend, then into Oregon leaving the truck with other friends. We’ll continue up through Washington visiting the following National Parks; Crater Lake, Mount St Helens, Rainier and staying with Greg’s cousin in Seattle, then up through the North Cascades, and into Canada. On the way to Banff we’ll enjoy some great scenery riding through Revelstoke and Canadian Glacier National Park, then spend 3 glorious days in and around Lake Louise and Banff, including riding the Ice Fields Parkway up to Jasper NP. Later we’ll head down to Montana with a quick overnight at Waterton Lakes NP so we can ride “Going to the Sun” road in Glacier NP east to west in the morning hours, capturing the best light as recommended by many. Then hooking up with old friends in White Fish for the weekend, and heading back to Oregon through Hells Canyon across Route 12 in Idaho (epic road) to pick up the truck and head for home after a final stop back in SF. It will be a phenomenal trip with a combination of hotels and staying with friends along the way, which is one of our favorite things traveling on the bikes. Our daily miles will average 250, with every fourth day off to relax and enjoy our amazing countryside.
