We would love to explore Louisiana's back country bayous, wildlife and exotic plant life all while zipping through the swamp on an airboat!.

We are excited to get up close and personal with some Monarchs in the Audubon Butterfly Garden!

While in NOLA, thought it would be interesting to learn more about post Katrina New Orleans. We are looking forward to seeing the landmarks and changes that have been made in the recovery since 2005.

We are looking forward to spending a day along the old Mississippi River Road, visiting Louisiana’s most famous plantations, Laura & Oak Alley.

We are looking forward to experience a walking tour of the city and learning more about the historical and spooky side of the famed, haunted New Orleans during our stay

While out on Frenchman Street, we are planning on dropping into Snug Harbor to enjoy a little jazz.

As we stroll along the River Walk of the great Mississippi, we will be stopping by The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand for their famous dark roasted Coffee and Beignets. 

During their time in the Garden District, Diane and Steve plan on hopping off of the trolley to visit the historic Columns Hotel. This hotel has been featured in many movies and it known for it's 19th century architecture and sprawling front patio which over looks the St. Charles streetcar line.

If Steve ends up liking the oysters, which Diane thinks that he will, then Diane will be dragging him down Canal St. to visit Dragos New Orleans. Dragos is famous for their charbroiled oysters! No idea how they get all of that flavor into one little shell.

Diane and Steve have heard nothing but great reviews about this restaurant and are excited to drop during their time in the French Quarter.

While in the Big Easy we are looking forward to completing our culinary indulgence with an authentic jazz brunch and the iconic Commander's Palace! Nestled in the middle of the tree-lined Garden District, Commander's Palace has been a New Orleans landmark since 1880. 

We are looking forward to eating our way through the French Quarter. We plan on partaking in yummy BBQ shrimp and authentic ginn fizzes at Mr. B's Bistro, a New Orleans restaurant famous for its Creole cuisine with a focus on fresh regional products.

We are excited to experience Pêche Seafood Grill, located at the corner of Magazine and Julia Streets in the Warehouse District. We have heard rave reviews about this new eatery featuring Pêche’s open kitchen and modern approach to seafood grilling.

New Orleans is hands down one of Diane's favorite cities in the US. Steve has never been nor has he ever tried oysters! Diane plans on introducing these delicious mollusks to Steve at Luke's famous oyster happy hour! Wish him luck ;)

We would love to shop around for our favorite piece of art as a cherished keepsake from our once in a lifetime trip. This gift will adorn our home for many years to come!
