Every day our fishermen go out in small boats to catch a variety of fish for us: multi-colored Mahi-mahi and tropical Ono, caught near our buoys 30 miles offshore. Reef-feeding bottom fish like Opakapaka, Onaga, Lehi and Uku, caught at depths of 2000 feet and slowly brought to the surface; fighting Ahi caught far out at sea with fast boats trolling lures; Papio from the lagoons near shore; Moi from the fish ponds. Fishermen bring the fish directly to us. We process and serve it within 24 hours. Our daily menu lists the name of the fisherman and where they caught their fish. This restaurant is not just any ordinary dining establishment, it is a full-on culinary spectacle, one that deserves to be enjoyed by every single set of feet that land on the gorgeous Island of Maui. The North Shore view is awe-inspiring, and sunsets are astounding. At Mama’s, guests will thoroughly enjoy a revolving, and eclectic Polynesian influenced menu. All seafood is caught by local fishermen on a daily basis, and local sustainable components are abundantly used throughout each dish. Only the finest ingredients are utilized at Mama’s Fish House, and it is more than obvious to the eye and your palette!

Located at the Maui Tropical Plantation, foodie lovers have a very special opportunity to enjoy The Mill House’s exclusive Chef’s Table events. Taking place weekly (Friday and Saturday), this is a great opportunity for those that want to learn more about the culinary intimacies of Hawaii’s most sought after chefs. This is probably the best place for those who want to hear about and taste the best Maui ingredients possible. Rotating menu ingredients include free-ranged island grown meats, fresh seafoods, and the most amazing organic produce available in the world. It’s true that Kumu Farm’s washes their freshly harvested fruits and veg directly behind the kitchen at the Mill House. This gives “Farm to Table” a whole new meaning. Typically, the Maui Chef’s Table events only allow up to 36 guests, making it the rarest gourmet treat the Island of Maui has to offer. During these events, participants meet the chef of the night, socialize, enjoy life, learn tips, and watch as seven courses are prepared and served to the group. Originally held in Haiku by Chef Jeff Scheer, the popularity of this event necessitated his moving to a bigger location at a better venue. The views at Maui Tropical Plantation and new open air Maui Chef’s Table dining area can’t be beat! Enjoy a 7-course adventure of food, exploring new tastes and textures of local and organically grown produce, fruits and proteins. Watch and get up close, as each course is created, plated, and presented for you. We encourage you to interact with the chefs, find out more about how each component came to be, and meet other guests.
