Joy & Doug
Joy Hunter and Doug Hutton's Honeymoon Registry
Hawaii, Kauai
Doug and I met in 2011 on an online dating site. I was pretty much over it, but gave it one last effort. Doug's first email ensued a debate, and people that know me know I love a good debate! We emailed for a month before meeting for the first time. Doug was the most patient and kind gentleman. We had great discussions and more debates, but mostly he made me laugh and it had been a long time since someone made me laugh like that. Fast forward to 4 years later, here we are getting married.
Since Doug and I both have households, we tried to really think of what we would want in our registry. And when I heard we could do a honeymoon registry I was very excited. As some may know, but most may not, I was a single mom from the time my daughter was born 1 month after my 21st birthday. Kaity, who coincidentally turning 21 this year, is is such a blessing to me and I wouldn't have our life go any other way, but I realized I have never been on a vacation. We often did road trips to see our loved ones in different states, but as far as going to a far off place to rest and relax for a period longer than a weekend? It just was never feasible. So as I said, I am very excited that our honeymoon will be the opportunity for me to experience a trip to Hawaii as my first official vacation.
We appreciate those of you who want to participate in gifting us some exciting adventures and unique gift opportunities that will make this trip all the more special.
And thank you all for the blessing you our in our lives, and for being a wonderful part of our wedding celebration!
