Learn about 3,000-year-old Mayan civilization with a visit to Altun Ha, then go tubing in the Branch Rivera Caves during this 6-hour adventure from Belize City. At Altun Ha, walk through the two ancient plazas that once served as center of commerce for 10,000 Mayan residents trading jade and obsidian. With your adventure guide, hike 30 minutes to the entrance of the cave, then hop on an inner tube and float through the underground network of rivers. No experience is necessary; this activity is suitable for participants of all fitness levels. A traditional Belizean lunch with refreshments and round-trip transportation from centrally located Belize City hotels, the airport or the cruise port are included.

The Chocolate Tour at Cyrila Cho's includes a traditional caldo (stew) lunch and hot chocolate 5hour tour. Just down the road, on the banks of the Moho River, the Cotton Tree Lodge produces its own brand of chocolate. The one-room, 100-bar-a-day operation has refrigerators and special chocolate-blending ("conching") machines powered in part by solar panels. Cotton Tree runs weeklong chocolate packages and day trips that give guests a chance to tour a nearby cacao farm before heading to Cyrila's to peel toasted cacao beans while sipping on pinnul, a traditional cacao-and-corn drink.

Parasailing is a recreational kiting activity where you are towed behind our boat while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute, known as a parasail wing. The harness attaches the rider(s) to the parasail, which is connected to the boat by the tow rope. The boat then takes off, carrying the parasail and person into the air. Our boat is powerful enough so that two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. The rider has little or no control over the parachute and the activity is primarily a fun ride with an awesome view. Ride in the air lasts 15 minutes, boat ride lasts 45-60 minutes depending on number of people.

The Great Blue Hole is a large underwater sinkhole off of the coast of Belize. It lies near the center of Lighthouse Reef atoll about 65 miles from Placencia. It was formed as a limestone cave system during the last ice age when sea levels were much lower. As the ocean began to raise the caves flooded, and the roof collapsed. This site was made famous by Jacques-Yves Cousteau who declared it one of the top ten best scuba diving sites in the world. Since then thousands of divers have made it the reason they have come to dive in Belize.
