With your wedding gift we'll spend a night out at a traditional Irish Pub, enjoying its rich musical heritage from ballads and sean-nos singers, to fiddlers and pipers. We'll sit back and listen to traditional Irish music, or "Trad Sessions," and spend an evening with the locals!

We are excited to experience the culture and beauty of the museum in Paris, France. The tickets are typically 9 Euros each (about 10 USD). We are asking for 2 Thank you for giving us this experience

Over the course of this trip, we will traverse 9 different countries in 29 days with 2 backpacks! This is very exciting to both of us but it has necessitated some new purchases to make the trip a bit more comfortable and compact. While visiting Scotland, Matt and Jamie will spend a day riding the Jacobite train from Ft. William to Mallaig and take in the beautiful countryside. This train has already been scheduled, but not paid for. Fun fact: this was the train filmed in the Harry Potter movies as the Hogwarts Express. Thank you for giving us this experience!

The last three nights of the honeymoon, Matt & Jamie will be staying at a home-run bed and breakfast on the island of Capri, Italy. Capri is a beautiful island off the Southwest coast. It boasts stunning rocky beaches and cliffs. One of the favorite past times for visitors is experiencing a beach club. Because the beaches of the island are not all easily accessible, these clubs have been build in ideal locations on the island. After flying in from Dublin, Matt & Jamie will spend 2 nights in Glasgow, Scotland to explore the city before heading North to the Highlands. The home owner, Andrew, is very friendly. He provides breakfast, laundry service (which we will need), and advice on traveling the city!

Zermatt, Switzerland is a beautiful car-less town located at the base of the Matterhorn. The log home, Edelweiss Bergrestaurant & Pension, is perched high on a rock, 1 hour hike up from the town of Zermatt. The only access is by foot, along the hiking trail with stunning views over the mountains. Built in 1898, the home maintains much original character & charm, with modern showers & facilities. Original Stone walls & wooden floors. Matt and Jamie will spend 3 days relaxing in the quiet mountains and exploring nature. They will take a cable car up to the Matterhorn's base camp. Matt & Jamie will take a ferry from Naples to the beautiful and secluded island of Capri! They will spend 3 nights at the Il Vicolo bed and breakfast. The home is situated in the historical center of Anacapri on a classical narrow street surrounding the Piazzetta delle Boffe. The Piazzetta, built in the 17th century, is the heart of the village. Paris is one of the destinations we are most excited to dine. Because of the length of our trip, we will try to travel as affordably as possible. Part of this will mean limiting eating out. On the second week of our trip. We would like to travel from Edinburgh to London via the Caledonian Sleeper Train. This will cover our transportation, as well as accommodations for a night. We have discovered in our readings that one of the best ways to explore Ireland is by car. Matt and I plan to rent a car when we leave Dublin and drive around the countryside over the next 5 days visiting cliffs, historical sites, and the beautiful landscape of Ireland. We will stay in small home-run bed and breakfasts along the way. In the end, we will drop the car off in Dublin and catch a flight to Glasgow, Scotland. Our research has told us to expect to pay about $55/day to rent a car for this trip. Thank you for giving us this experience!

The most efficient and beautiful way to travel through the Swiss Alps is on the world famous train, the Glacier express! After spending several days in a mountain bed & breakfast in the carless town of Zermatt, Switzerland, we will be hopping on the Glacier Express to head down through Milan, Italy and eventually on to Rome! On our return flight home, Matt and I will be stopping in Reykjavik, Iceland for 24 hours before we can get our flight home. In the summertime the sun is up nearly all day and night. We won't have a lot of time there but we have set aside some time to visit this world famous geothermal spa. These are natural hot springs where the Arctic Ocean and hot geothermal water fuse together resulting in higher temperatures.
