This Canopy Tour will be an amazing, unforgettable experience! We'll fly through the tree tops of the Monteverde Could Forest on steel cables. We'll experience the various levels of the canopy as we glide and swing from tree to tree. Watch out Tarzan!

You will be picked up at your hotel and driven to Huacas, a little town close to Playa Conchal, a beautiful white sand beach on the Gold Coast of Guanacaste. ​After a 15 minute drive, we arrive to a local home where you will be greeted as part of the family and will get the opportunity to share some of the local traditions with them. Watch the mother make authentic homemade tortillas on a traditional wood burning stove, enjoy a cup of freshly poured Costa Rican coffee, taste some homemade cheese and learn about our customs. ​After the introduction to the family the adventure begins! The first part will be a horseback ride through small towns, where you will be able to enjoy great views, talk to locals, observe how they live and work.

This is our most relaxing tour which starts by cycling on paved road out of Tamarindo before joining our first dirt road. We then follow flat gravel roads through farm land and small communities before rejoining the paved road and cycling the last few kilometres into Playa Grande. Here you will have an opportunity to buy food and drink, swim and explore hidden beaches or just relax and soak in the ambience before we start our ride back towards Tamarindo. Includes 5km beach ride and water taxi.

Enjoy a two hour boat ride inside the Tamarindo National Wildlife Refuge Las Baulas. This National Park offers an incredible variety of watering birds, Crocodiles, Monkeys, Iguanas and five different species of Mangrove growth. On this boat ride you will be able to see a lot of local fauna all within minutes from Tamarindo.

A little over two hours’ drive we will get us to the Miravalles Volcano where our horses will be waiting so we can ride to a trail that will take us through the rain forest to look for wildlife. ​ Along the way we will pass by a total of 5 waterfalls. At one of them you get the chance to swim in it. This trail has a duration of around 45 minutes and then 30 minutes back on the horses where our van will take us to enjoy a very delicious Costa Rican lunch called a “Casado”. ​ After lunch we will get to do a crater walk. You might wonder what this is. Right there we will be walking on one of the 7 different craters that this awesome volcano has to offer. This is about a 30 minute hike looking for boiling waters of different temperatures, different types of minerals, smells, and volcanic mud. ​ A natural pool of volcanic mud awaits for you, so put on your swimming suit and lather it on your body and face. This volcanic mud is known for its medicinal properties and will help your skin rejuvenate. ​ Once the mud is rinsed off you can relax in the natural hot springs at the end of the day before we head back home.

With the 8 hour round trip travel, overnight stay and once in a lifetime experience, this over night excursion is about $270 per person.

At only one hour and thirty minutes from Tamarindo is the Palo Verde National Park, the largest wetlands in Central America and home to over 200 species of migratory birds among other fauna such as Crocodiles, monkeys and Iguanas. Its importance is such, that it was added to the world patrimonial list of Ramsar. ​ A two hour boat ride will take you to the riverbanks and to the river’s edge where often white faced monkeys will approach the boat and where you can observe the plethora of birds that have come here to flee the cold weather up North (who can blame them?) If you are a bird and nature lover, this is the place for you to visit.

This guided hike will take us along the Pailas Trail which runs along a river bed rich in wildlife such as howler monkeys, white faced monkeys, Coatis, Toucans, etc... ​ We will get a chance to observe volcanic activities for example the famous fumaroles, mud pot and steam geysers. We will also cross small streams where you will have the chance to refresh yourself or you can swim by a beautiful waterfall. After all this hiking we will probably have worked up quite an appetite and so we will be able enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch Buffet Style To top off this perfect day we will go relax in the natural hot springs of the nearby Caño Negro River

Upon arrival you will be received by the Rio Perdido Team with a refreshing beverage. ​ Next, we change into clothing more appropriate for the day´s activities at the Rio Perdido dressing rooms. ​ We will begin with a scenic hike on one of the main trails, guided by one of our guides. As part of the hike, visitors will have the opportunity to swim in different parts on the crystal-clear river. ​ At river´s edge multiple springs convert a cool stream into the soothing thermal river, with temperatures ranging from 90 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit. After a visit to the springs, an authentic Guanacaste culinary experience awaits you at the restaurant. ​ You will find thermal pools with a private swim-up bar, hanging bridge, a panoramic view of the dry-forest and volcanic range. ​ This area is covered in gigantic tombstone-like volcanic rocks that tell of a cataclysmic eruption that occurred thousands of years ago, a scene unlike anything you will see elsewhere in Costa Rica or anywhere else in the world.

On this tour we will show you the whole nesting process of two of the eight species of sea turtles in the world. (Leather backs and/or Pacific Green Turtles) ​ From the moment the turtles come out of the water to how they build their nest and lay their eggs and of course the moment when the baby turtles start hatching.
