The cacao orchard is located on the North Shore of Kauai. We will learn about permaculture and see how a sustainable organic exotic fruit farm works. The chocolate farm tour is a three-hour guided educational adventure where we will learn all about the cacao tree and see how chocolate is made from the cacao fruit (cacao pods). We will see four different varieties of Theobroma Cacao and Theobroma Grandiflorum. At the end of the tour we will sit down to a chocolate tasting to sample a multitude of chocolates from Hawaii, all grown and made on Kauai and the Big Island. They make a fresh hot chocolate drink with coconut milk, local Kauai honey and fresh vanilla beans. Included in the extensive chocolate tasting are also samples of their renowned coconut butter truffles, winner of the People's Choice Award and Best Dessert of the 2009 Healing Garden Festival.

Great beach with great shells and a perfect spot to picnic. We're not sure what we'll bring to munch on, but we know it will be delicious.

There are two breweries on Kauai, and a meadery as an added bonus! With this gift, we'll get to sample the local frothy concoctions. We all know how Devin enjoys his brewery "investigating"

What could be better than knowing we'll have breakfast to enjoy between the sheets? We'll order eggs florentine (or, lets be honest, benedict), cinnamon rolls, freshly squeezed orange juice and hot coffee which all seem to taste better served to us in bed!
