The Napa Valley Wine Train is a leisurely 3-hour journey and culinary experience through the beautiful wine country of Napa Valley in meticulously restored vintage rail cars. We will also have the opportunity to stop for a tour at the Grgich Hills Winery in the middle of our train ride, where we could possibly even crush grapes with our feet! On Wednesday, when we are in the heart of wine country, we're going to board a shuttle bus and be chauffeured around to several wineries, where we will learn about wine, have a little lunch, and -oh yes - drink a few samples! (http://www.platypustours.com/)

We'll spend Wednesday and Thursday night a little further North in Napa Valley - in Calistoga, at the Wine Way Inn. On the final night of our honeymoon, before we fly back to reality, we decided that a place of luxury was in order. So we decided to stay at the gorgeous Embassy Suites hotel near the airport in a bay view king suite! Among other things, this hotel has an indoor atrium, is located right on the water, and offers a cooked to order breakfast in the morning. On Friday, we'll be staying at the Larkmead Country Inn - a bed and breakfast located right in the middle of its own vineyard. At the Old World Inn, we've been given the chance to enjoy a breakfast made specially for us in our own room on Wednesday morning - and we would love to take that opportunity!

It won't be like driving at home. Exploring on our honeymoon will be an adventure.

As aspiring oenophiles, or people who just like wine, we'll spend a day at our desired winery enjoying the entertaining and knowledgeable explanation of the winemaking process, followed by a tasting of some of the finest wines!
