Travel back to the ancient Maya era with a full day exploring the ruins of Coba and climbing to the top of its highest pyramid before taking a dip in an underground cenote swimming hole. Enjoy a scenic ferry ride to mainland Mexico and then an air-conditioned coach ride to the remote jungle environs of Coba. Situated around two big lagoons, these grounds were once home to some 50,000 inhabitants, as well as the largest network of original sacbeob (white roads) of the Mayan world. Here you’ll see palaces, ball courts and engraved stele (stone or wooden slabs) that depict ceremonial life in Mesoamerica. You’ll also have the chance to climb all 120 steps of Nohoch Mul, the highest Mayan pyramid in the Yucatán. Standing 137 feet high at the top, you can take in panoramic views of the surrounding jungle and 16 sacbeob roads that lead to this central pyramid. Then it’s time to cool off in a local cenote. Natural sinkholes formed from the subsiding of limestone bedrock, these mystical grottoes were used by the ancient Maya as sacrificial offering grounds. Today, you’ll delight in a swim through crystalline waters at one of these turquoise pools before returning to port. Highlights: • Coba: Tucked amidst dense jungle, this ancient Maya city once housed 50,000 residents and a large network of stone causeways. • Nohoch Mul: Climb 120 steps to the top of this central pyramid to be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. • Cenote: Splash in the turquoise waters of a sinkhole where the Maya used to conduct sacrificial offerings to the gods.

Discover a fascinating piece of Jamaican history as you tour caves and passageways and take a journey to the famous Dunn's River Falls. Make way through the complex maze of chamber light holes, stalagmites and stalactites at Green Grotto Caves, not far from where Christopher Columbus once landed. Then visit wondrous 600-feet-high Dunn's River Falls, where you can climb its cascading falls, sunbathe on the beach, or simply admire the falls before returning to ship. Highlights: • Green Grotto Caves: Explore interconnected passageways, stopping at the 'Wishing Well' to throw in a coin for luck. • Grotto Caves Lore: Long a hideout for Spanish soldiers and pirates, the caves also harbored 18th century runaway slaves. • Dunn's River Falls: Climb this 600-foot wonder, marvel from strategic platforms, or go for a swim
