This thrilling four-wheel-drive journey will take us where breathtaking landscapes and traditional culture are just waiting to be discovered! We will experience the spectacular scenery, lives of rural Costa Ricans that have barely changed over the years, secluded soft silver-sand beaches, exotic flora and fauna and many quaint little villages. Sounds like honeymoon fun!

The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, we will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. We will visit the hot springs of Arenal, where we will relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. This is absolutely an evening we will not want to miss.

We will be honeymooning in Costa Rica where there are over a hundred species of bats! So why not try getting up close and personal with these flying mammals? Bat netting will definitely be one experience we can never do at home!

From the Bijagual Waterfalls we will plummet from cliffs deep within the lush jungle, climbing a small mountain range in the Carara National Park. On our adventure, we will witness breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Ocean and quaint fishing villages along the way, continuing on horseback through a jungle trail leading us to the waterfalls with its natural beauty, such as lush vegetation, toucans and red macaws. We will experience the pleasure of plunging in the pristine pools at the base of the waterfalls!

We can't wait to experience the thrill of this bicycle tour! With our guide at hand, we will pass by properties of livestock breeding for milk production, crops of the region, the National Monument of Guayabo and the town of Santa Cruz through wild mountains and challenging terrain. Once we reach our destination, the city of Turrialba, we will enjoy a true Costa Rican lunch while we meet with some of the locals!

We will start off with a crisp start in the morning, stopping for breakfast in the city of Cervantes where we will admire the antiques collected for many years. The real tour starts at Angostura, hydroelectric plant biking through sugar and coffee plantations, where the route is flat with mountain segments of dense jungle and up hill slopes. Continuing to La Posa where we will have the opportunity to dive in its crystal clear waters and enjoy its panoramic views, while enjoying a lovely lunch and the natural beauty surrounding us!

We can't wait to experience true paradise as we fly by white sand beaches on our biking tour. Along the way, we will make many stops at Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Reserve where we will get to observe a variety of birds, monkeys and coatis. On our way to an authentic Caribbean village, where we will take a cool swim in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, we will stop for a cold refreshing beverage to quench our thirst!

With your wedding gift, we will wake up just as the early birds do and make our way to Corcovado Park where we will get the chance to see more than 400 species of birds. We will have the opportunity to tour the ever-so-famous Violin Island to see marine birds of different sorts!

Costa Rica's bungee jumping hot spot is the "Viejo Puente Sobre el Rio Colorado" so why not give it a try? After all, we are in Costa Rica! We will revel in the excitement and thrill of flying through the sky as we bungee jump off of a 300 foot bridge! As we keep falling and falling, just as we did for each other, we know this will be one experience we will never forget!

On our honeymoon we would love to hike through trails of the rainforest to Cahuita, visiting Puerto Vargas along the way. Our journey will come to a brief stop where we will have a romantic picnic lunch by the crystal clear Caribbean waters and maybe take a cool refreshing dip. Continuing on the trail we will see howler monkeys, the green ibis and the mighty rufous kingfisher above in the treetops! So many sights to take in but we will do it all thanks to you!

On our all-day tour we will be setting out to the open sea, having the chance to visit a burial grounds of the Pre-Columbian tribes, snorkel or scuba dive at a world-renowned diving hot spot. We will see many magnificent corals of a thousand colors, brilliantly colored fish and maybe even some friendly and fun-loving dolphins!

On our tour, we will depart from La Fortuna and drive to Los Chiles, a rustic town, taking a boat down to Rio Frio to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. There, we will observe many different types of birds along with sloth, monkeys, caimans, lizards, bats and an array of colorful flora of the wetland. A truly beautiful experience!

This Canopy Tour will be an amazing, unforgettable experience! We'll fly through the tree tops of the Monteverde Could Forest on steel cables. We'll experience the various levels of the canopy as we glide and swing from tree to tree. Watch out Tarzan!

With your wedding gift, we will get to experience Carara National Park, boasting rare and exotic flora and fauna and a virgin forest where the rare scarlet macaw subsides. We will visit the Tropical Dry Forest, and the more humid Pacific Rainforest learning about their histories and witnessing the most breathtaking of scenes in the wild. On this Catamaran Cruise sailing on crystal clear water, we'll kick off our shoes, layback, have a cool drink and take in the spectacular scenery.

This tour will show us nature-lovers the Eco-Center where we'll learn and observe the natural history of butterflies, a variety of tropical plants, traditional crops, organically farmed in gardens. Our next destination, the La Fortuna Waterfall for a leisurely float in the natural swimming holes and the rocks surrounding us to rest from our invigorating swim. Then it's back to town to enjoy a romantic lunch at "Lava Rocks Restaurant." Thank you!

Our tour begins with a hiking trip through a tropical humid forest, passing bridges and spectacular scenery, to the Fortuna Waterfall with amazing swimming holes. After our honeymoon lunch at "Lava Rocks Restaurant" we will make our way to tour the Arenal Volcano. As we walk up the lava flows and watch the sunset we'll await the darkness to see and hear glowing rocks of lava tumbling down the side of the mountain, then it's time for a relaxing soak in the warmed mineral waters of Tabacon Resort and a romantic honeymoon dinner for two!

With your wedding gift, we will enjoy a full day on a guided adventure through a tropical and majestic rainforest at the park of San Pedrillo where we will indulge in a delicious picnic lunch before our hike. This will give us a chance to see different varieties of birds, mammals and all the exotic plant life near the area. The grand finale, an afternoon boat ride with high hopes in spotting some playful fun-loving dolphins!

We will admire nature in all its glory as we float down the Corobici River on a rubber raft. Exotic sights of flora and fauna are common to this area: ospreys, herons, egrets and a variety of iguanas and monkeys. This river float will be an unforgettable adventure we won't forget.

We will travel through a unique inland waterway learning about the important ecosystems in the world while enjoying the enchanting mangrove estuary, observing whiteface capuchin monkeys and an array of colorful jeweled birds. Fresh tropical fruits will be served on our kayaking adventure, after we have worked up a sweat!

Why not try our luck at reeling in the big one? We'll relax and breathe in the cool crisp ocean breezes, basking in the warm sun admiring the Central Pacific's majesty stretching out miles and miles of pure beauty. Our adventure starts with a hike along the coast, making our way into the tropical forest to a streaming waterfall on the Rio Claro where we will ride down the river on inner tubes to a pristine beach to soak up some sun and take a nice refreshing dip, snorkel and enjoy a romantic picnic lunch! The grand finale, a well-deserved afternoon boat ride to complete our honeymoon outing!

Our tour will begin with a scenic drive through coffee and sugar cane plantations to the city of Grecia where the famous, rare and beautiful metal church rests. Next, we'll tour the craftsmen factories of Sarchi where they build oxcarts splendidly decorated and treasured worldwide for their unique beauty. What a day!

On our way to our destination, we will travel through tropical forests near Rincon de la Vieja National Park, the Guanacaste Mountain Range, passing by small villages and cattle ranches. Arriving at the natural hot springs, we will get to try the therapeutic properties of the ever-so-famous mineral mud along with a nice soak in the warm waters marveling at the lush tropical scenery. If we are feeling adventurous we can be swinging through the trees like Tarzan and Jane to experience a world only the bird's eye sees!

After a delicious breakfast, we will start our day with a stroll along the Rio Celeste River arriving at Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we'll hike through a tropical rainforest arriving at "Los Tenideros" of the Rio Celeste, a place where two streams of water come together and form one heavenly color of crystal blue. Hiking back, we will stop and take a mud bath in the healing mud, and take a luxurious soak in the natural hot springs while observing Tenorio Volcano, continuing through the jungle and our final reward, an exquisite lunch for our hunger! Costa Rica is world renowned for its exuberance of its biodiversity, such as its coffee. That's why two of Costa Rica's most popular destinations are The Butterfly Farm and The Coffee Tour of Cafe Britt. We will get to visit Alajuela where an enclosed tropical garden is filled with hundreds of butterflies, learning their natural history. Our journey continues onto Cafe Britt in Heredia where we will take the Coffee Tour, learning about the history of the coffee bean. We will even get a sample and the opportunity to purchase the strong stuff at factory price!

We will soon be enjoying a splendid morning of kayaking on Lake Arenal with magnificent views of the Arenal Volcano. Witnessing all the different species of birds like the flycatcher, kingfisher, the great blue heron and anninga with the sounds of howler monkeys in the background! One truly amazing honeymoon experience!

On this awesome underground adventure, our knowledgeable guide will take us through narrow passages, labyrinths and chambers where we'll see a famous rock formation called, "La Papaya" along with other amazing stalactites and stalagmites. This tour is only for those who like to get wet, muddy and messy just as we do!

We will experience a full explosion of excitement and thrill while rafting down the Pascua and Pacuare River, witnessing the natural beauty of Costa Rica's flora and fauna, along with our own guide instructing us how to manage ourselves with the strong currents of the river! On our honeymoon we'll take a ride on a historic Harley Davidson, and rip through town, of course doing the speed limit!

Buena Vista, located in the volcanic mountain range of Guanacaste, offers us a unique opportunity to enjoy nature at its best. After a short and easy horseback ride we will visit the volcanic hot springs and fumaroles. Last but not least, we'll enjoy a mud bath and mask in a relaxing sulfur hot water pool.
