The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, we will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. We will visit the hot springs of Arenal, where we will relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. This is absolutely an evening we will not want to miss.

This Canopy Tour will be an amazing, unforgettable experience! We'll fly through the tree tops of the Monteverde Could Forest on steel cables. We'll experience the various levels of the canopy as we glide and swing from tree to tree. Watch out Tarzan!

We will start the day hiking through the forest and rappelling down several tropical waterfalls in the Lost Canyon. Then we’ll head to Balsa River to go rafting on class 2-3 rapids! This rafting experience will leave us exhilarated and stunned with its beautiful verdant jungle gorge and tropical flora and fauna and its history. A truly wild ride!

After a delicious breakfast, we will start our day with a hike through the tropical rain forest of Tenorio Volcano National Park, arriving at "Los Tenideros" of the Rio Celeste, a place where two streams of water come together and form one heavenly crystal blue waterfall! We'll spend the afternoon wading in the cool, blue water.

On our tour, we will begin on a walk in hopes to observe white face monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and sloths. We'll end at the beautiful hidden white sand beach of Manuel Antonio. There, the captain will lead us to our snorkeling adventure! We’ll have the chance to see many magnificent corals of a thousand colors, brilliantly colored fish and maybe even some friendly and fun-loving dolphins!

Costa Rica is world renowned for its exuberance of its biodiversity, such as its coffee. That's why two of Costa Rica's most popular destinations are The Butterfly Farm and The Coffee Tour of Cafe Britt. We will get to visit Alajuela where an enclosed tropical garden is filled with hundreds of butterflies, learning their natural history. Our journey continues onto Cafe Britt in Heredia where we will take the Coffee Tour, learning about the history of the coffee bean. We will even get a sample and the opportunity to purchase the strong stuff at factory price!

The catch of the day awaits us! As seafood lovers it will be hard to choose from the different types of seafood restaurants and the variety of fresh fish, all complemented by delectable side dishes, fresh vegetables, and an incredible selection of wines. A delicious treat!

Renting a 4x4 will allow us to explore Costa Rica on our own terms! We’ll be taking in all the sights and sounds of the country, visiting small towns off the main road, and even discover hidden beaches and oases all to ourselves. The possibilities would be endless if we were in control of our destination!
