Sit back and relax in a 4 passenger, glass enclosed gondola. Marvel at the unsurpassed view of Banff, the Bow Valley and a 360 degree view of six scenic mountain ranges from 2281m (7486ft) above sea level. You will feel like you’re on top of the world when you are standing on the spacious main level observation deck, where the optional Banff Skywalk (an 1km self-guided interpretive walkway) leads you to the Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site and Sanson’s Peak Meteorological Station. Other services at the Banff Gondola include two gift shops, two restaurants, a Starbucks coffee shop, one snack bar, interpretive hiking trails and an interactive giant compass.

Discover the power of nature on the Glacier Adventure – the must-do experience in the Canadian Rockies. At the heart of the incredible Icefields Parkway is one of the largest non-polar ice fields in the world. Here, you’ll travel on a massive Ice Explorer to a place where you can walk on, feel and drink from the Athabasca Glacier. Then, take a jaw-dropping walk along the glass-floored Glacier Skywalk at the cliff’s edge.

As the sun sets behind the craggy peaks, the wildlife of Banff National Park become more active in the cool hours before dark. We see wildlife on 95% of our tours, so this is your best chance to get up close with some of Banff’s wildest residents. Your guide will lead a safari to the hotspots where you are most likely to see Rocky Mountain creatures. Grab your binoculars and spot an elk sauntering across a clearing, a mountain goat perched high on a ridge, and sometimes even a grizzly bear snuffling through a berry bush. You’ll also learn about how the park protects these animals and their natural habitat from many threats to the ecosystem.

This route is a half-day excursion crosses the suspension bridge and heads up the Banff Mt Norquay cliffs, climbing Memorial, Sol and Vista buttresses. It’s a great trip for families.
