Wherever we go, we'll likely need to eat. This would be a wonderful gift that would help us either during the honeymoon itself or for a couple newlywed date nights.

Being the good German-American girl she is, Carol has wanted an authentic, hand-crafted German beer stein for years. With your gift, Carol will have the ideal souvenir to remember the honeymoon trip!

Unfortunately, we suspect Daisy would not want to fly with us or be cooped up in a hotel room most of the day. She will be enjoying an all-inclusive trip to Pet Palace (probably an 8-night stay), where she will likely need upgrades in the form of extra walks, playgroups, and peanut butter-filled Kongs. She can be a bit anxious, so we try to remedy that with extra staff interaction and playtime. She also receives an exit bath so she smells like a daisy and not like a corn chip.

This will be Derek's first trip out of the country! As such, he needs to acquire a passport. This amount is slightly less than the passport will cost with fees included.

Of all the things Germany is famous for, from castles, to high quality cars, and of course sausages. The most outstanding product by far is beer. We'll enjoy a pint or two on you. Cheers!

As Amanda Palmer suggests, "Play LCD Soundsystem songs on your ukulele!" Well, they're going to be in Berlin when we are, and Derek bought tickets.

While we are still determining which museums we'll visit, we will undoubtedly find ourselves in a museum or two: we'll take in the arts and learn about German history in a couple of Berlin's many museums! (Also, we think Hamburg has a chocolate museum?)

We'll explore Hamburg with three maritime tours, a harbor cruise, a boat trip on the Alster lakes, and a visit to 17th-century houses belonging to the traders' guild. Plus, roam the city at our own pace with a three-day pass for two to hop-on or hop-off double-decker buses and the Hummelbahn!

Derek really loves hotels. A lot. Our Berlin hotel will overlook the lake, and your gift will help us relax as we enjoy a stunning view!

With your wedding gift, we will be able to chip away at the hotel costs for our honeymoon. This will likely be the second-most expensive component of our trip behind airfare, and it will certainly be one of the most important in terms of allowing us the chance to relax and recharge!

Perhaps we'll obtain some very lovely German Riesling?

We'll order eggs florentine, cinnamon rolls, freshly squeezed orange juice and hot coffee which all seem to taste better served to us in bed!

It's casual, fun and perfect for an afternoon lunch. As we explore a new city (or cities) during our honeymoon, we'll need to refuel to take in all the activities and sights.

Derek also really loves breakfast; it's legitimately the most important meal of the day for him. We can choose from fresh fruits, freshly baked pastries, breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, French toast, hash browns, juice and coffee. (But realistically, there will probably be waffles involved.)

We’ll love a night just to ourselves! We’ll enjoy tantalizing cuisine at our favorite restaurant and make a toast to our lives together!

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere and great cuisine; there'll likely be pasta and dessert involved.

We have Graeter's, Jeni's, Velvet, and Whit's within driving distance. We'd love to go grab some milkshakes and have a couple cheap date nights!

We will browse the boutique store and pick up a few local handicrafts and souvenirs as mementoes from our honeymoon.

One of our cars will likely be vacationing at The Park Spot near the airport. We should be able to do so for $30/week, and it helps to be able to account for these smaller (but necessary) costs.

We'll be taking a train from Berlin to Hamburg, and we'll likely rely on the subway to get from place-to-place. With your gift, we will have a much easier time getting from Point A to B (and C, D, etc.).

We will be flying to Berlin and departing from Hamburg, with layovers in New York both ways. Any help to get to and from our destination is a wonderful gift. We will be thanking you long after take off!
