Spice up your skills by learning the secrets of cooking authentic Mexican cuisine. On this fun-filled excursion you will: Take a motor coach to the center of Ensenada for a guided walking tour of this charming resort town. Walk along the malecon (the main boardwalk), Flag Plaza, Ventana al Mar and see the beautiful yachts. Re board your motor coach and move on to your cooking lesson at a local restaurant. Watch as your chef tantalizes your palate with authentic Mexican fare that you will learn to prepare yourself. Enjoy your Mexican lunch and have some free time to shop before either being driven back to your ship or to be dropped off in downtown. Note: Guests wishing to stay longer downtown will be responsible for returning to the ship on their own. The walk back to the ship is approximately 5-10 minutes. Short sleeve shirts are required and please remove all hand jewelry.

Discover the beauty of this breathtaking ‘nature’ island in small groups by a tour van and combine it with a Wailua River Cruise and a visit to its famous Fern Grotto. Your memorable day will begin with a visit to the famous Opaeka’a falls and Poliahu Heiau, one of Kauai’s most sacred and historic locations. Continue your adventure to the Wailua River and Fern Grotto. This visitor attraction is one of the Island’s most popular, and includes a leisurely boat ride up Hawaii’s only navigable river, the Wailua River, to the famously romantic Fern Grotto. The Fern Grotto offers a natural amphi-theatre of lava rock and tropical vegetation where you are met and serenaded Hawaiian Style… and just for a moment transported back in time. Next, discover the North Shore of this beautiful Island in your tour van. Along the way you will learn about Island history and culture, including the legend of the Sleeping Giant. Visit the breathtaking Kilauea Lighthouse and nearby Kilauea National Wildlife Refuge and bird sanctuary. You will also see Anini Beach, where you will enjoy an appetizing island style picnic lunch. Once refreshed, it is off to the Princeville Resort Area, where you will pass by Hanalei Bay, one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Note: Minimum age 5 years. There are winding roads. Due to vehicle storage restrictions, guests with wheelchairs and walkers are unable to take this excursion. The Kilauea Lighthouse is closed on Sundays and Mondays. On these days a visit to the area will still be conducted but the lighthouse and grounds will be inaccessible.

Explore Kilauea Volcano in a unique way by taking the road less traveled. Once you arrive at the park, an experienced guide will take your intimate size group on a five mile hike through lush rainforests alive with native birds, incredible foliage and a crater floor that erupted only 50 years ago. This hike takes you up and down the crater walls by way of switchback trails and then covers the expanse of the crater floor. It is an amazing way to “feel the heat” of an active volcano below your feet. Witness the explosive power of Halema’uma’u Crater and walk across new lava formations to actually see the rebirth of the native Hawaiian rainforest in its first stages of life. Enjoy a stop at the Jaggar Museum with its real time seismographs, eruption footage and beautiful displays of lava and Hawaiian geology. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch and a trip through the famous Thurston Lava Tube on this one-of-a-kind adventure at Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.

On the slopes of Hualalai volcano lies Kona. Nourished by afternoon showers and rich volcanic soil, this region produces some of the finest coffee, confections and ales in the world. Join in as you indulge your taste buds and experience a more sumptuous side of Kona. The small group size means a more intimate experience and visits to places larger groups are not allowed. Head south along the coast and share the historical and cultural highlights of Kona district.The first stop is Greenwell Farms about 30 minutes south of Kona Town. The Greenwell family has been growing coffee in Hawaii for over a century and helped make 100% Kona coffee one of the most sought after coffees in the world. You’ll also sample nearly a dozen varieties and shop and browse Greenwell Farm’s store. Working your way back north, your next stop is at Donkey Balls Chocolate Factory. Nestled in the quaint town of Kainaliu, this family owned and operated factory specializes in donkey balls (chocolate covered macadamia nuts), along with dozens of other treats that range from mild (dry roasted mac nuts) to wild (cayenne covered chocolate coffee beans). You’ll go behind the scenes into the factory to see how everything is made. Afterwards, more sampling, browsing and shopping at their factory store. Arriving back in Kona Town, you end your journey at Kona Brewing Company, home of island fresh ales. For nearly 20 years, KBC has produced “liquid aloha” here at the Kona headquarters. You’ll taste a selection of their signature ales, noting hints of local products like passion fruit, Kona coffee and toasted coconut. Your flavor journey complete, you will return to Kona pier, wiser (and fuller) than when you left. Guests choosing the morning departure have an opportunity to remain at Kona Brewing Company for a no-host lunch.

Arrive 15 minutes prior to your Deluxe Tour experience and enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast and a free drink from Starbucks® After breakfast our most knowledgeable guides will take guests on a six-hour journey through almost a century of movie and TV history. Your guide will be sharing behind-the-scenes secrets as you see some of our exterior sets. From Rebel Without a Cause and Pretty Little Liars you’re bound to recognize one of our backlot sets. Stepping off the cart and onto the sets, you’ll get to see all of the incredible detail that goes into constructing these locations as well as learn secrets from behind the camera. A delicious three-course lunch is included in our Commissary Fine Dining Room – the place where producers, actors, writers and studio executives meet to discuss their latest projects or pour over top-secret scripts. After lunch, you’ll get to explore even more of the famous Studio lot, such as Post-Production, where Foley artists make sounds effects (you may even get to see some of them at work), The Mill (home to scenic artists, special effects experts, metalworkers and construction teams) and exclusive to the Deluxe Tour you will explore the Costume Department where some of the most iconic costumes have been created. Next you'll visit The Prop Department, which contains one of the largest collections of rare antiquities and modern furniture, rugs, drapery, lighting and hand props from Hollywood’s golden era; The Archive, which displays costumes and props from some of Warner Bros.’ most iconic productions including Batman; and The Picture Car Vault, where you can currently see The Tumbler from The Dark Knight series and The Bathammer from Batman and Robin. For the grand finale of your Deluxe Tour experience, you’ll visit Stage 48: Script to Screen. This exciting addition to our backlot explores key phases of the entertainment production process.
