We'll sail away on our honeymoon into the sunset aboard our private boat with experienced crew members. While sipping our favorite drinks and nibbling from a fresh tropical fish platter, we will feel the sea mist on our faces and indulge in the warm Jamaican wind racing through our hair. On our journey we'll get to take the most breathtaking photos and talk of many more tropical island sunsets to come!

This lagoon, surrounded by mangroves, is home to microscopic organisms that emit a bio-luminescent light when agitated. The water glows a beautiful blue and becomes illuminated when these organisms are disturbed. As the fish in the lagoon swim and dart around, you can see their outlines as streaks of light, shooting around in the darkness of night. When it rains, the lagoon ‘lights up’ with the drops of water dancing on the surface. Truly an amazing experience! Plan ahead and bring a towel and swimsuit so you can take a swim during the night-time tour on the Luminous Lagoon to illuminate yourself and the waters around you. Bucket list item, for sure…

Our resort has a great little reef just out from the beachfront and offers snorkeling for a small fee. Your gift will help us explore the reef and see some great wildlife!

The Blue Hole and Secret Falls is probably the most sought after tourist attraction in Ocho Rios. The Blue Hole is deep and a lot of fun for good swimmers and divers of all ages. The White River’s blue hazy water adds to the beauty of the surroundings.rnrnIncluded in this attraction for thrill seekers is a Tarzan Rope swing after which you can jump in the river pool, you may explore small caves, climb behind the water falls, go cliff diving into the river, hike along the river and get covered in clay from the river bank. Bask in the sun, enjoy the cool breeze in the hills, and spend a day in the Jamaican bush enjoying the beautiful surroundings away from the crowds associated with larger tourist attractions.

Appleton Estate has the distinction of being the second oldest distillery in the world. It first began production in 1749, but the estate dates back to when the English took Jamaica from Spanish hands in 1655. The distillery is in the Nassau Valley in the parish of St. Elizabeth. Guided tours take you into the rooms with the giant copper pot stills and then to the aging rooms where oak casts sit undisturbed for as long as half a century.
