We’ll take in spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast and discover the history of the infamous Pompeii ruins - both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Upon arrival in Pompeii, we’ll visit this Roman resort buried by volcanic ash. Our tour will take us to the city’s baths, villas and theaters. Because Pompeii is so well preserved, we’ll see many fine details that reveal the lifestyles of the residents, such as mosaic floors and colorful frescoes in some of the homes. Plaster casts mark the positions of the fallen that were swiftly overcome by the ashes. After lunch, if time permits, we’ll visit a cameo factory to see how the jewelry is made.On our drive along the famed Amalfi Coast, we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of sparkling blue sea, citrus orchards, olive groves and little villages nestled along secluded bays and terraced into hillsides. A stop will be made at one of the picturesque villages so that we can explore its quaint streets.

Antibes is a very popular and pretty resort town that attracts locals and visitors alike. The old town is well preserved, with ramparts along the sea and a protective wall along the port. We’ll spend some leisure time exploring this little gem of the French Riviera and enjoy nice views over the Bay of Cannes during our drive. We’ll walk by the best equipped leisure harbor of the Riviera, it lies between Fort Vauban to the north and the gate and ramparts of the Old District to the south.rnrnAn orientation tour will provide us with interesting information and scenic views towards the Maritime Alps and through narrow streets where flowers made their way. Our tour ends by the old market and we’ll have approximately 1 1/2 hours of free time to enjoy the pleasures of the beach, the town or visit the Picasso Museum. There are bars and cafes offering tasty snacks, restaurants of all types and prices and lots of shops. There is a cozy sand beach at the foot of the ramparts with clear blue waters.

The Leaning Tower and Tuscan wines - what a perfect combination! We’ll enjoy a day filled with the sites, aromas and tastes of Tuscany.After meeting our guide in Pisa and a brief orientation of the Field of Miracles, we'll be free to explore the magnificent sites on our own. We’ll see the Leaning Tower and discover Pisa’s superb black and white marble enhanced Duomo. The Tuscan hills are home to some of the finest wines in the world, including Chianti. We’ll enjoy a ride through the Italian wine country to visit a famous wine producer, tour the winery, and learn how Tuscan wines are created. Then we’ll enjoy a typical Italian lunch in this privileged setting and sample a variety of house wines and olive oil. Ending our meal with a taste of Vin Santo - a sweet dessert wine.

We'll see the Eternal City on an orientation drive passing iconic structures which includes the Colosseum of ancient Rome where gladiators fought. In Vatican City we’ll admire the beauty of St. Peter’s Square, and view some of the treasures of the world’s largest church, St. Peter’s Basilica during our brief visit. The Vatican Museum is home to masterpieces spanning the centuries, marvel at the Sistine Chapel, topped by Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling. Lunch is included.

This leisure tour highlights the spectacular scenery of Majorca and offers the opportunity to taste local specialties. Leaving the port, we’ll embark on a scenic drive with views of landscapes of pine forests and groves of almond and olive trees, beautiful villages and more. There will be a couple of stops to take in the magnificent views and snap some memorable pictures. Our final destination and highlight is La Granja de Esporles surrounded by beautiful fountains and lush formal gardens where seasonal flowers abound.This superb 17th century Majorcan manor was built by a noble family on the site of a 10th century farm belonging to the monks. We’ll have time to explore on our own the grounds and interior of the house, now a museum illustrating the home-life of two centuries ago. A highlight is the sampling of local wine and specialties. Afterward, we’ll return to your ship via the village of Esporles.
