What a great start to our honeymoon! We will spend the evening at the Royal Ocean Terrace Lounge with its "tiki" theme, sipping on tropical island cocktails served ice cold while admiring the spectacular Hawaiian sunset. Departing from Maalaea Harbor, the Pride of Maui offers a 3 hour afternoon whale watch and snorkel combo ... whale watching is done on the way to and from the snorkel site. Snorkeling is about 45 minutes in duration, and the location is typically at Coral Gardens along the sea cliffs of the south side of the West Maui Mountains. The price includes a BBQ lunch and open bar for beer, wine, and Mai Tais, which makes this excursion an excellent value!

No Hawaiian vacation would be complete without attending a luau, a beachside feast and hula show, and the Royal Lahaina Luau is an excellent choice. The main course is the kalua pig, cooked all day in the underground imu oven. The all you can eat buffet also includes smoked turkey, a delicious island-style mahi mahi, grilled steak, shoyu chicken, and a huge vegetable and salad bar. This luau is the most kid-friendly ... they even have a "keiki food bar" with hot dogs and chicken nuggets. The open bar keeps the Mai Tais flowing from the moment the gates open until the conclusion of the show, which traces the development of hula through the ages. The show concludes with a spectacular Samoan fire knife dance.

4 Hour Snorkel - Teralani III Teralani also offers a slightly shorter snorkel tour for late risers ... this trip operates from 11:00am to 3:00pm every day except Thursdays. The 4 hour tour includes a make-your-own-sandwich deli lunch, open bar, and snorkel gear.

This trip is a leisurely paddle around the reefs of the Olowalu shoreline on Maui's west side and provides a convenient trip for people staying the Lahaina / Kaanapali / Kapalua area.
