The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, we will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. We will visit the hot springs of Arenal, where we will relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. This is absolutely an evening we will not want to miss.

A morning stroll never hurt anyone! We will wake up at the break of dawn to witness tropical birds such as toucans, parrots, oropendolas, colorful tanagers and parakeets. Now, we are the early birds!

We'll take an adventurous ride up in the mountains and hike through the amazing rainforest. We'll enjoy dazzling rivers and cool off under a spectacular waterfall.

We'll let an experienced guide take us on a hike through Manuel Antonio National Park so we don't get lost! Visiting two pristine, sun-kissed white-sand beaches, Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio learning about local plant life, pointing out some of the subsiding fauna such as capuchin, squirrel monkeys, agouti and the three-toed sloth along with 184 species of birds. A honeymoon adventure we will always remember!

We can't wait to experience boasting and beautiful museums, and learn about the historical and rich Costa Rican culture of San Jose. Driving through Sabana Park, we will take a walking tour through the historic National Theater, visit unique museums, the University of Costa Rica, and the Supreme Court along with a brief stop in Moravia allowing us to browse the boutiques and pick up some souvenirs from our Costa Rican honeymoon!

We will have fun challenging the river rapids in our full-day adventure, starting out with a joyride through remote back country of the Rio Savegre to our destination of the Savegre River where we will raft with excitement, enjoy the cool and pure swimming holes, witnessing dense jungle and the magnificent waterfalls where we will enjoy an afternoon snack with lunch shortly following! Choosing from six person rafts or two person inflatable kayaks, we will know whatever we choose will be more than fun, it will be exhilarating!

We will appreciate refreshing ocean waters while learning the ancient skill and art of surfing. Our experienced Instructors are excellent teachers and are committed to perpetuating the heritage of surfing. Surfs up!

Help us wake up and smell the coffee! This works on several levels, but what we mean is, help us afford a tour of the Doka Estate coffee plantation, high in the mountains of Costa Rica, on the slopes of the Poas Volcano.

Nights 2-4 we'll be in the mountainous northern part of Costa Rica, far from the urban center of San Jose and the beaches of the Pacific. Arenal Volcano is one of Costa Rica's most famous, and we'll be lodging near the base of the mountain. We'll have spectacular views of the country-side, with plenty of opportunity to explore the volcano and the resorts numerous hot springs.

We'll be spending the last 4 nights of our honeymoon at the secluded Arenas del Mar resort, on the Pacific Ocean. We'll have the opportunity to explore the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park, where hopefully we'll get to see some monkeys...

Our first night of the honeymoon will be spent in San Jose, here at the Hotel Grano de Oro. We'll enjoy the cozy setting of this Victorian style boutique hotel, with its relaxing garden, wonderful restaurant, and easy access to the sites of San Jose. We'll cherish all of our honeymoon memories, so help us by getting it started right. We'll forever be grateful!

After spending a day in San Jose we'll be at the Arenal Kioro resort and spa for 3 nights. Help us relax and put the stress of the real world behind us.

Help us relax by paying for a relaxing day at the spa at our resort on the Pacific coast. Days 5-8 of our trip we'll be spending on a secluded beach front, where we'll have plenty of time to kick back and relax before heading back to the hustle and bustle of the big city.

With your wedding gift we can plan ahead and upgrade to a romantic honeymoon suite. Our suite will be just steps from the beach nestled amongst the magnificent lush, fragrant tropical gardens and framed with breathtaking ocean views. We will be pampered in style and comfort, leaving us with "suite" memories!

Our first night in Costa Rica will be spent in the capital city, San Jose, Costa Rica's largest urban area. We'll cozy up at the luxurious Grano De Oro Hotel before being whisked into the countryside the next day. But first, help us enjoy our first meal in class, at the Hotel's restaurant, whose French chef makes some of the most delicious dishes in town.

We're embarking on our honeymoon on August 8th. A wise person once said that getting there is half the fun...so help us make our trip memorable by chipping in for our airfare!

We'll be spending time in 3 different hotels & resorts. To get from one to the other means we'll have to pay for transportation to and from. But don't worry, our van will be much larger than the tiny car pictured here...
