Brianna & John

While Brianna is a little sad we will not be in the Alps during ski season, we plan to enjoy all that the summer season can offer, such as hiking, biking, and riding chairlifts without having to wear Gortex and goggles.

On this tour we will relax in comfort while viewing the celebrated landmarks of London. If the time is right, we will hear the famous chimes of Big Ben and marvel at the Houses of Parliament that reign so grandly over the banks of the Thames. Then continue to Downing Street, the home of the Prime Minister, before soaring high above the city in the world's tallest observation wheel, the London Eye.

Brianna is so looking forward to introducing John to the city that was her home for 4 years. Favorite restaurants, the Beatles Story, lunch with LIPA friends. And we can't leave Liverpool without having at least one drink! (And yes, we know the picture is of London. The site didn't have any pictures of Liverpool.)

So much to choose from! On our 10-day cruise, we hit Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Oslo, Norway; Talinn, Estonia; and Gdynia, Poland...from kayaking to walking tours to weirdly-shaped group bicycles, we're not even sure how to begin picking our activities! But our decision so far: we're going to experience the cities, not just watch them go by through the windows of a bus.

Copenhagen is one of our "travel-thru" cities, and we don't really know what there is to do there yet. But with your help, I'm sure we can find something to entertain us! (Suggestions also appreciated.)

The more research we do about what to do in St. Petersburg, the more we wonder how we could possibly see it all in a mere two days. We may not be able to defy the binding laws of space and time yet, but in a city like this with so much to offer, we're sure going to try.

Brianna has had a lifelong dream to visit the Alps in Switzerland, and John's happy to go along with it! Chocolate, mountains, political neutrality, what else could a honeymooning couple ask for?

Anybody who's ever been to London knows that hotel rooms can be hit or miss, especially when you're on a budget. We're aiming for a hit.

Since we don't leave on our honeymoon for a bit after our wedding, we're going to bask in post-wedding bliss on the North Shore for a couple of days before rejoining the real world. Here's hoping for an ocean view!

We've got 30 hours of travel to and from Europe, and we all know how generous the airlines are with on-board food service. Ideally, we would like to eat sometime between here and Amsterdam.

We'll enjoy an evening by the sparkling Spui, located in the heart of Amsterdam, filled with vibrant entertainment, great restaurants, and a romantic atmosphere.

Okay, so Brianna isn't the world's most adventurous eater. She promises that she'll try something new for every gift we get here!

Imagine us on our honeymoon enjoying a fabulous, traditional, English afternoon tea in a country-house setting, while dining on finger sandwiches, delicate pastries, and scones with clotted Devonshire cream and jam. How British!

We’ll love a night just to ourselves! Indulging in the romantic ambiance, we’ll enjoy tantalizing cuisine at our favorite restaurant and make a toast to our lives together!

John and Brianna aren't big "souvenir" shoppers, but we'll definitely want to take home a few mementos of our amazing honeymoon. We promise not to buy anything too trashy.

John, being a car guy, is excited to drive around in the type of small European car they talk about on Top Gear. And Bri really needs to practice her manual stick-shifting. Driving through Switzerland seemed a great opportunity for both!

From London to Liverpool, from Geneva to Copenhagen, we'll be seeing Europe (rather quickly) through the windows of high speed trains. Help us make the journey between our destinations special.

We'll need a spa day just to ourselves! We will sit back, relax and indulge in a rejuvenating and revitalizing spa treatment or massage to help soothe our tense muscles and to help us get back in the groove.

For the pragmatic gift giver. Just in case something goes wrong. Though of course we hope nothing will. But just in case!
