This thrilling four-wheel-drive journey will take us where breathtaking landscapes and traditional culture are just waiting to be discovered! We will experience the spectacular scenery, lives of rural Costa Ricans that have barely changed over the years, secluded soft silver-sand beaches, exotic flora and fauna and many quaint little villages. Sounds like honeymoon fun!

The Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Americas. From our observation point, we will feel the ground tremble and see the night sky explode with ash and lava in a natural display of fireworks. We will visit the hot springs of Arenal, where we will relax in the soothing waters and be caressed by the cool night air while observing the stars and the incredible night sky above the volcano. This is absolutely an evening we will not want to miss.

From the Bijagual Waterfalls we will plummet from cliffs deep within the lush jungle, climbing a small mountain range in the Carara National Park. On our adventure, we will witness breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Ocean and quaint fishing villages along the way, continuing on horseback through a jungle trail leading us to the waterfalls with its natural beauty, such as lush vegetation, toucans and red macaws. We will experience the pleasure of plunging in the pristine pools at the base of the waterfalls!

This Canopy Tour will be an amazing, unforgettable experience! We'll fly through the tree tops of the Monteverde Could Forest on steel cables. We'll experience the various levels of the canopy as we glide and swing from tree to tree. Watch out Tarzan!

On this Catamaran Cruise sailing on crystal clear water, we'll kick off our shoes, layback, have a cool drink and take in the spectacular scenery.

We will travel through a unique inland waterway learning about the important ecosystems in the world while enjoying the enchanting mangrove estuary, observing whiteface capuchin monkeys and an array of colorful jeweled birds. Fresh tropical fruits will be served on our kayaking adventure, after we have worked up a sweat!

Why not try our luck at reeling in the big one? We'll relax and breathe in the cool crisp ocean breezes, basking in the warm sun admiring the Central Pacific's majesty stretching out miles and miles of pure beauty. We will have fun in the sun with high hopes of catching mahi mahi, or billfish. An event we will remember in our loving years to come!

Our adventure starts with a hike along the coast, making our way into the tropical forest to a streaming waterfall on the Rio Claro where we will ride down the river on inner tubes to a pristine beach to soak up some sun and take a nice refreshing dip, snorkel and enjoy a romantic picnic lunch! The grand finale, a well-deserved afternoon boat ride to complete our honeymoon outing!

On our way to our destination, we will travel through tropical forests near Rincon de la Vieja National Park, the Guanacaste Mountain Range, passing by small villages and cattle ranches. Arriving at the natural hot springs, we will get to try the therapeutic properties of the ever-so-famous mineral mud along with a nice soak in the warm waters marveling at the lush tropical scenery. If we are feeling adventurous we can be swinging through the trees like Tarzan and Jane to experience a world only the bird's eye sees!

After a delicious breakfast, we will start our day with a stroll along the Rio Celeste River arriving at Tenorio Volcano National Park, where we'll hike through a tropical rainforest arriving at "Los Tenideros" of the Rio Celeste, a place where two streams of water come together and form one heavenly color of crystal blue. Hiking back, we will stop and take a mud bath in the healing mud, and take a luxurious soak in the natural hot springs while observing Tenorio Volcano, continuing through the jungle and our final reward, an exquisite lunch for our hunger! We are excited to go kayaking to Manzanillo arriving on the pristine Manzanillo Beach where we will start our underwater expedition. Swimming over beautiful corals, through caverns where an enchanted underwater garden awaits us with its precious treasures, brain coral, fire coral, turtle grass, parrot fish, angel fish, blue tangs and many more! This rafting experience will leave us exhilarated and stunned with its beautiful verdant jungle gorge, palm plantations, and nearby farmlands. We will hopefully stay afloat down the Naranjo River, as we witness the scenes of natural beauty, the tropical flora and fauna and its history. A truly wild ride!

We will journey deep into the rainforest with the sound of the crested-mandible toucan, the mealy parrot and the bay wrens as we see the jungle's tropical beauty, coming across an indigenous village with a thatched big hut where the clan's chief used to live, now used as a ceremonial place receiving knowledge and learning about the history of the different constructions. Our grand finale, stopping at the Medical Botanical Garden learning about the medicinal plants and what they have done to help the people. A truly wonderful and interesting experience for our honeymoon!

With your wedding gift, we will indulge in the crisp night air and take a walk to The Dendrobates Reserve where we will get to witness different types of frogs from tree frogs to bullfrogs, along with a variety of colorful species such as poison dart frogs, snakes, night birds, mammals and insects. We will enjoy this nocturnal activity through a rainforest so precious!

We will begin our exciting day by enjoying a delicious breakfast and a ride to the town of Tarcoles where we will explore one of the most fascinating national parks of all the tropical forests in Costa Rica. Filled with native animals, we will see crocodiles, ocelots, sloth, monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, and trogons along with many other special fauna of the tropical forests. Enjoying the tropical jungle's secrets and the nearby-secluded beach will be one truly amazing experience!

On this romantic day cruise we will board a luxurious yacht for a wonderful Pacific Islands adventure! Our destination is Tortuga Island, Famous for its pristine white sand beaches, shimmering clear waters and superb snorkeling. We will indulge in a delectable seafood buffet served right on the beach for that extra romantic island ambience! A paradise we will not want to miss!

We can't wait to take a leisurely cruise down the Tempisque River, visiting Palo Verde National Park, a wildlife sanctuary rich with rivers, marshland, mangroves and dry forest. Admiring the natural beauty, searching for crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas and many different species of birds. We'll have an amazing amount of fun!

Floating down the Penas Blancas River, we will discover true peacefulness as we observe monkeys, sloth, iguanas, turtles, crocodiles and many species of birds. Rowing quietly and gently down the river will enable us to take photos, enjoying the sounds of nature, sipping on a drink and indulging on the local tropical fruits and not even disturbing the animals!

This tour will take us back in history to La Casona where Costa Rica's most significant battle took place. We will visit a colonial style ranch that hosts a natural and historical museum, an endangered but protected tropical dry forest. After our Costa Rican style lunch, we'll enjoy in a calming and romantic horseback ride through the Orosi Volcano exploring creeks, hills and seeing sloth, macaws, toucans, white tail deer, and other local wildlife!

On this unique tour of the surrounding San Jose area, we will visit active Poas volcano, hike a narrow jungle trail to an azure lagoon, stop at the beautiful La Paz waterfalls and explore the tropical rain forest while on a boat ride on the Sarapiqui river teaming with wildlife.

We look forward to scuba diving in this world-renowned diving location. The water is crystal clear and warm. The marine life is abundant with magnificent corals and the sea crustaceans of a thousand colors will amaze us. This will be a honeymoon day we'll always remember!

We can't wait to take a leisurely cruise down Arenal Lake with the amazing view of Arenal Volcano, the sunset as our beautiful backdrop adding to our romantic ambience and the magnificent wildlife, such as flycatchers, kingfishers, anninga, monkeys, coatis and sloth. The perfect way to explore the natural beauty of Costa Rica on our honeymoon!

We will appreciate refreshing ocean waters while learning the ancient skill and art of surfing. Our experienced Instructors are excellent teachers and are committed to perpetuating the heritage of surfing. Surfs up!

Leaving from San Jose, we will head towards the Pacific Coast riding along the Old Spanish route from 1606. Once we reach our destination, we will start our jungle boat tour floating along the Tarcoles River while our guide introducing us to the world of crocodiles and different species of birds. After we arrive at Punta Leona Beach Resort surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, pristine beaches and crystal clear waters we will indulge in a luscious lunch while the extraordinary sunset creeps up on us, leaving us feeling with a sensation of romance!

We will soon be enjoying a splendid morning of kayaking on Lake Arenal with magnificent views of the Arenal Volcano. Witnessing all the different species of birds like the flycatcher, kingfisher, the great blue heron and anninga with the sounds of howler monkeys in the background! On this awesome underground adventure, our knowledgeable guide will take us through narrow passages, labyrinths and chambers where we'll see a famous rock formation called, "La Papaya" along with other amazing stalactites and stalagmites. Every night from November to February, the most spectacular natural event happens. On this adventure, we will find us truly amazed as we witness the nesting ritual of the leatherback sea turtle. As they drag themselves onto the beach, they lay their eggs at the same nesting site they have used for countless generations before. Maybe we will even get to see a hatchling make his way out to the big and blue!

On our honeymoon we would love to visit the Botanical Gardens with a spectacular variety of plant life, with tropical wild flowers of every brilliant and bright color imaginable! Our guide will tell us about cultivation; characteristics and the care taking of these jeweled exotic beauties. One magical honeymoon experience!
