We want to revisit the antebelum days of the Old South! This Grand Savannah Home will intrigue and entice us with her rich and extraordinary atmosphere of the southern history, fine antiques, and outstanding architecture. We'll walk the corridor frequented by a most welcomed guest, General Robert E. Lee, as well as many other famous and wealthy families of the Old South!

We'll have a drink or two on you at the local bar or at our favorite saloon. Cheers!

Savannah is said to be one of the most haunted cities in America. We're willing to find out by taking this two hour walking tour of the city.

Named in honor of Georgia governor and Revolutionary War soldier James Jackson, the fort is the oldest standing brick fortification in the state. Fort Jackson is also a National Historic Landmark, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. The fort is one of only eight in a series of forts built prior to the War of 1812 still standing in the United States. It served as headquarters for the Confederate Savannah River defenses during the American Civil War.

This Museum honors the men and women who helped defeat Nazi aggression by serving in or supporting the greatest air armada the world had ever seen at the time of World War II - the 8th Air Force.

Located on the bank of the Great Ogeechee River south of Savannah, this park is the home of the best-preserved earthwork fortification of the Confederacy. The sand and mud earthworks were attacked seven times by Union ironclads, but did not fall until captured in 1864 by Gen. William T. Sherman during his March to the Sea.

A breathtaking avenue sheltered by live oaks and Spanish moss leads to the tabby ruins of Wormsloe, the colonial estate of Noble Jones (1702-1775). Jones was a physician and carpenter who arrived in Georgia in 1733 with James Oglethorpe and the first group of settlers from England. Wormsloe's tabby ruins are the oldest standing structures in Savannah.

Think of Lulu's as a cocktail bar for chocolate. What could be more indulgent on a honeymoon?! Dark chocolate fondue and a raspberry martini...heaven!

We can't go to the South and not have some BBQ! Pulled pork, ribs, brisket...big sides mac and cheese, fried pickles, and slaw. Can't you just see the numbers on the scale rising?!?! ;-)

We look forward to reserving an intimate candlelit dinner. We'll choose a quiet restaurant with a warm atmosphere, outstanding cuisine and impeccable service.

Pralines, bear claws, pecan pies! Southern treats at their best. Not sugar free...but it's our honeymoon...we can splurge a little.

It won't be like driving at home. Exploring on our honeymoon will be an adventure.
