The well preserved ruins of Machu Picchu seem to almost cling to the steep hillside, surrounded by towering green mountains overlooking the Vilcanota River Valley. The 'Lost City' is one of the world's archaeological jewels - we can't wait to see it!

With your lovely wedding gift, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Larco Herrera Museum on our honeymoon in Peru! This 18th century colonial mansion holds the most extensive collection of pre-Columbian including examples of textile work, tools that ancient Peruvians used in their everyday life, huaco ceramics and gold and silver pieces with precious stones. To top that off, we’ll enjoy strolling around the Peruvian Handicraft market picking up some local souvenirs in Lima!

We are planning on taking at least 1 week of immersion classes to brush up on our Spanish. These classes will help us better communicate during our honeymoon and hopefully help us with our Peace Corps application!!

We'll enjoy staying in a nice Peruvian hotel with a beautiful view of the Andes.

One of the ways we hope to learn Spanish is by staying with a Peruvian family. They will feed us dinner, allow us to stay in their home, and help us learn Spanish, too.

We'll enjoy a nice coffee and pastry in the morning. Help us start the day off right!
