we'll be staying at a tiny place called ca' arco antico in the western part of the city and we hope we won't get lost finding it in the back streets when we get off the vaporetti upon arrival.

we found a little gem on the istrian coast of croatia, lovingly decorated by a wonderful german couple who have tastes i covet. a lovely home, with a pool, a fire burning oven in an outdoor kitchen, walls of warm stone...we plan to do alot of shopping at the market and cooking with finds from local markets. i'll go by bike, wes will follow in a car so he can put a goat in the trunk and figure out how to roast it.
