We've never been to Hong Kong, so we'll be excited to experience a guided tour to learn more about the area and culture from an expert.

We plan to take the tram to Victoria Peak in Hong Kong to experience the best views overlooking the entire city!

We'll head out for an afternoon of exploring villages and gorgeous rice paddy fields in Ubud. Our guide will help educate us on the rural life in Bali, including the famous “Subak” irrigation system and the time-honored way of growing rice.

We'll travel out to spend the afternoon at The Ubud Monkey Forest where we can see hundreds of playful and interactive Macaque monkeys roam freely around the tree canopy and temple complex. Walking around the winding, moss-covered brick paths of the Monkey Forest is a great way to spend an afternoon!

We'll learn how to cook 3 Balinese traditional dishes.  Part of our experience in Bali will be to learn more about the culture by learning to cook their yummy food.  

We'll celebrate with a cocktail or two on you. Cheers!

So, one of the ways that I was able to talk Kris into staying in Ubud (inland, overlooking the rice paddies) rather than next to the ocean was that I promised to give her plenty of day trips on the water.  With this gift, we'll reserve a private sailboat and captain to take us around the island for the afternoon and enjoy a secluded beach.  This is sure to be one of our favorite parts of the trip, and you'll help me keep my promise to Kris.  

We'll be able to touch, feed and ride elephants. We can even watch the trained elephant show and explore the elephant museum.  

This will contribute to nights in our Honeymoon Villa.  In Bali, we'll be staying outside of the cultural center in Ubud overlooking the rice paddies.   

We'll go to an authentic tea house in Hong Kong!

We'll enjoy a countryside picnic in the tropical gardens of Bali.

We'll be able to enjoy a romantic Balinese meal in the privacy of our own villa.

In Bali, we'll be able to enjoy unforgettable romantic dining experiences under the stars in the tropical Balinese gardens.

We can't wait to taste authentic Chinese dishes in Hong Kong!

As we head to Bali, we have an empty wall space in mind in our apartment that we'll be looking to fill with a piece of art from a local artist. Ubud is famous for their artists, and this will be one of the few tangible souvenirs we plan on buying.  It will be sure to hang on the wall in our home for years to come.
