We met at a trail race in Austin on July 31, 2005. Then in October, we met again in Amarillo at a trail race, both of us staying at the same hotel. Ava offered to pace me for a couple of longer winter races, and then upon returning to Austin she invited me to a movie, after she bought the tickets and her friend could not go. Or at least that is what she told me!

We selected the American Legion as our wedding and reception site because of the location. Right across the street from Town Lake, where you can find us on Saturdays before dawn putting in our miles. Last year we ran and enjoyed the after race party of Margarita Madness 5K which was held on the grounds of the Amercian Legion. The celebration was at sunselt and allowed for a spectacular evening, which we expect our wedding to be as well. The ceremony will start at sunset, just after 8pm, followed by our reception.

Delicious mexican food from Chuy's, one of our favorite places to eat, along with water, wine & beer. Plus a tasty wedding cake and a Groom's cake actually made by the groom!

Our honeymoon is in November and it will be a once in a lifetime experience We will be flying to Quito, Ecuador and taking a 7 day cruise around the Galapagos Islands. We are thrilled and excited about our trip but most of all happy to have found each other and be able to share this adventure together.

This is a special evening for us and we hope our friends and family will join us in celebration.
