We've been dear friends for nearly 20 years, real friends. Supporting, confiding, comforting each other and sharing stories. We didn't see each other in the romantic way. Well, I'd been having a vision off & on for about 2 yrs. The place looked like northern Africa & the time was centuries ago. I was always getting water at the river to be used in the temple. My protector, groomed from birth, was always with me, but I never saw his face. Though I felt strongly that he'd loved me always. Then one special day, when I was dressed in white & gold at the bottom of the temple steps. A hand extended & I took it. Once we reached the top, I turned and saw that my protector was Smokey. Once I shared the story with him, our spirits blended, & a different love flowed from our hearts. A painting of my vision will be displayed at the wedding.... Painting was done by me.

The wedding will be in San Antonio, Texas on July 12, 2008 (Saturday), at 6pm. Wedding and reception will be at the same location: The Magnolia Gardens at 2030 Main Street (210-737-2710). You will take I-35N to downtown San Antonio...take the Brooklyn / McCullough exit #157B...[The exit number & name is the same;regardless of direction] .turn away from downtown (North)....go down to Ashby street (traffic light) & turn left. Magnolia Gardens will be on your left hand side at the corner of Ashby and Main. This will be an African centered ceremony with the 12 symbols of life, tasting of the elements, & libation. Guests are welcomed to wear african/egyptian type dress. Following the ceremony we'll Honeymoon in the Texas Hill Country at a beautiful resort. We plan to repeat our vows for our 1st year anniversary in the land of my vision---Egypt, Africa. Many have expressed a desire to travel with us. Therefore, to allow time for financial arrangements the trip will be in the fall of 2009, October 11th. Information will be forthcoming, as the date draws near. So start saving your duckets. We're anticipating early October an 8-9day trip. And the arrangements for the actual Egyptian tour/cruise will be made through Adventure Life Voyages--Mary Camp.
