The story of us.... As a soldier, I am always in need of a great haircut. It just so has it, that the best haircuts in town were given by a beautiful young woman that worked in the salon I went to. It was my lucky day, I just so happened to get her as my stylist this particular evening. So I started some small talk. Shaking in my boots, I asked as subtly as possible, if she was seeing anyone? To my amazement she said ' no'. I then slyly asked her to dinner. I met a little resistance, but with a little work of the charm, I offered one more opportunity.....she agreed. Come to find out we both had secretly admired each other for years. So as our friendship grew, so did our feelings for one another. We are each of the pieces that complete the others puzzles in life.

Well, we have begun the planning process. We have chosen a beautiful historic plantation home, nestled back in the woods to have our wedding and reception. You can see the house by visiting www.mackeyhouse.com. It will be an outdoor ceremony, so plan accordingly. Also, the attire will be at a minimum semi-formal (Slacks, Dress shirt, and tie, but preferably suits for the men. And dresses for the ladies)

Everything is in order, just counting down the days now until the big day.

The reception will be held in the same location. There will be a very heavy Hors d’oeuvre menu, along with an open bar. We have hired a DJ to help us keep the event rolling along as well as provide entertainment for all the guests.

The ceremony will be held in Savannah, Ga. This area is world renowned for its beautiful historic district. If you plan on staying for a few days then I strongly recommend getting out and seeing what this city has to offer. There are many tours that can be arranged through the city of Savannah, as well as a championship golf course just on the other side of the Savannah river. Be sure to pack for the weather, because this time of year can be chilly, especially in the evenings.
