Our Story...and what a wonderful story it is! I met Mike my first week of college at SIUC. He was the cute blond guy that lived down the hall. From day one... I knew Mike was one of those friends you meet in college and have the rest of your LIFE. (little did I know he would be my husband one day) Mike and I became "instant best friends" and spent the next 4 years of college doing practically everything together. Graduation came and we both moved on to new adventures in our lives, but still kept in close contact with one another. Here's the part where "fate stepped in"... While searching for jobs Mike got the call from Boeing St. Louis to come down for an interview. Mike hadn't give much thought to St. Louis but couldn't pass up the wonderful opportunity. He got the job and moved to the Lou. I was in the process of searching for jobs as well and a few weeks after Mike got his job I too was offered a job in St. Louis. So we were back to living in the same city and being best friends again. We spent our first summer in St. Louis doing everything together. We went on boat trips, traveled to six flags, canoeing, concerts, skating in the park, and trips to the zoo...everything. That summer was the best time of my life. I realized one night while sitting outside and looking at stars with him that I was indeed.... "In Love with him"! My best girlfriends had always told me that Mike was my diamond in the ruff and that one day I would wake up and realize it. Well that day... I woke up... and I have been "In love" with him every since. We've been in a wonderful relationship for the past three years and on Valentine’s Day of this year Mike popped the question. We got engaged on the beach in Florida and it was the most romantic moment of my life. I now wear the most beautiful diamond ring given to me by my diamond fiancé!So that's our story from my point of view. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with my very Best Friend!
