Malcolm and I have a pretty simple story. We met at church – I was a greeter and I noticed him because he was rather tall :) He claims I was acting stuck up, but I was very friendly and spoke to everyone I saw. I guess I was just being shy.
We had an unusual engagement. Malcolm and I started dating in March 2007. Our first date was to the Good Friday service at church (lol) We officially became a couple in April 2007 (yes, I told him I was not his girlfriend until he specifically asked me :) Shortly after we became a couple, I think Malcolm told me that we were getting married at least once every week (lol) We knew we wanted to be married shortly after we started dating, but we wanted to wait until we could afford to have a nice wedding. One year later, we decided to just move forward, so we took the premarital class at church and then set a date for the big day. The only thing missing was my engagement ring! (lol) On Friday, June 13th at approximately 6:45pm, Malcolm placed my BEAUTIFUL engagement ring on my finger and it was official! We are getting married!
Malcolm and I have so much in common. We both come from a mixed family, we love the Lord, we love gospel music, we love to travel, and we love love love cleanliness! We often talk about our future together and moving to California, having kids, and traveling to exotic places like Hawaii, Italy, and taking a cruise. We hope that our wedding day symbolizes LOVE - our love for one another, our commitment to each other, and our love for God. There is no greater gift than love. Our prayer is that the presence of God’s love will shine through everyone in our wedding party and everyone who attends our wedding. For those who can’t attend, we ask for your thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Sherri & Malcolm
