Honeymoon Wishes
Jennifer Troyer & Noah Britton
Location: Barefoot on the Beach in Negril, Jamaica
Our family and friends have been such a huge part of our lives. We appreciate the support you've all given us throughout our relationship, the kick in the pants we've occasionally needed, the advice we've rarely listened to...but mainly, we appreciate your love.

For those of you that don't know our story, you might want to have a seat.

Some of you may know, Jen has always said she would never get married again and Noah has always said he would never get married. NEVER SAY NEVER!

We met on MySpace, of all places! Our first date was February 1st 2006 and it lasted five days! Jennifer knew immediately that Noah was her soul mate...Noah took some convincing. Two weeks after we met, Noah decided it wasn't going to work out. So Jen went to Match.com, entered all of her criteria for her perfect dream guy, and who was the first person to pop up? You guessed it, Noah! The past nearly three years have been amazing. Even through a couple of rough patches, we came out stronger and with a deeper love than either of us thought possible. We bought our first house together in February of 2008 and as they say, the rest is history.

If we had to pick one word to summarize our relationship it would have to be "FUN". We have so much fun! We've gone white water river rafting a few times, cruised around Hawaii, gone on a house-boat in California, had a trip to the South (Where Jennifer had to translate for Noah), have had great times with our friends, and just really enjoy our lives together. As Jen's best friend, Brian said, "If Noah's not the guy for Jen, one doesn't exist!" Or in the words of Kathleen, "You guys are so perfect together, it makes me throw up a little bit!"

Our wedding will be very intimate, with just the two of us, barefoot in the sand on a beach in Negril, Jamaica. We want it to be very special, only between us, and then we'll have a big reception when we get back to Seattle.

We will be in Jamaica for 10 nights between November 2nd and 12th. Our actual wedding will be on November 6th. (11/06/2008 equals the number 9, which is Noah’s number; this date wasn’t picked by chance. Also, it's a good excuse for peeling Jen away from the political coverage on T.V. for a few days).

What about Sarah and Parker? The kids are such a large part of our lives together, but we want to have the wedding and honeymoon be focused on just the two of us. We have decided not to take them to Jamaica with us, but they will definitely play a significant role at our reception.

Our reception will be in Seattle, Washington - and yes, we want you all to attend.

Please celebrate with us on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14th at 6:00pm. Our reception will be at the beautifully renovated GOLDEN GARDENS BATHHOUSE, overlooking the Puget Sound. The Bathhouse is located at 8498 Seaview Avenue Northwest

There will be plenty of great food, (locally grown, organic and sustainable, of course), an awesome chocolate and white chocolate wedding cake, beverages (fair trade coffee and tea), beer and wine, and delightfully, a bartender to refill your glass often, all catered by Northwest Food Works.

Many of you are asking about attire. Jen is wearing her wedding dress and Noah is wearing a tuxedo. Please dress as if you were going to an evening wedding.

Invitations were mailed in August. Please let us know if you haven't received yours.

** Please RSVP by October 1st to seattleveggirl@comcast.net or 425.269.1538 **

We have booked a block of rooms (15 total) at the Inn at Queen Anne, which is 5.1 miles South of Golden Gardens. http://www.innatqueenanne.com We have a special group rate of $69 per room (unheard of in Seattle!) Parking is available for $18/night. Check-in 3:00pm, Check-out 11:00am.

Call 800.952.5043 or 206.282.7357 to book your room and mention the “Britton/Troyer Wedding.” Rooms must be confirmed by November 2nd or they will be cancelled. Also, please let US know if you’re getting a room, so that we aren’t charged.

This is a great option for our out of town guests – or anyone who doesn’t want to drink and drive!

If you’re coming from the North end: 85th Street going into Golden Gardens is closed due to a mudslide last December. The only way to get to Golden Gardens is to go around Shillshole Bay (past the Ballard Locks) on Market Street.

Market turns into 32nd and dead ends at Golden Gardens. It may still be easier for those coming from the North end to take the 85th Street exit off I-5 and just follow the orange Detour signs.

What about a registry? We're in our 30's, we've already got the stuff we need.

What we'd really like is the opportunity to do really fun things together on our honeymoon that will create lasting memories and have a wonderful reception to celebrate with all our friends and family.

We've created a honeymoon registry with a budget for everyone. You can purchase excursions or beachfront dinners for our honeymoon, you can contribute to our reception budget (which will be the biggest help of all), and there is also a link to donate to a great foundation that helps kids.

If you don't want to buy us anything, that is totally fine, just come to our reception and celebrate with us!

We love you all!
