Jamie and I met at a pool party at our friend Dan's house. We were acquantainces at church until November 2007. Somehow we ended up exchanging phone numbers, he called one night, and after the first phone call, we talked for HOURS almost every night for two months (ask him about his cell phone bill). On February 20, 2008 I was at his house for a game night (we are Rock Band addicts). I got up to leave about 1am and as I was heading out the door, he asked me to hold on for a second. He said he had something he 'wanted to ask me". He asked me to go out on our first date. We saw the movie Definitely Maybe followed by dinner at the Tavern on the Summit. At the end of the night, Jamie asked me out on a second date. I said yes and the rest is history or at least the beginning of the rest of our lives.

Our wedding will be on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Crosscreek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Children are welcome to come! Our friend and brother-in-Christ Pastor Don Fulton will officiate the ceremony.

Our bridal party includes Anne Johnston-Maid of Honor, Valerie Wyatt-Bridesmaid, Kaiya McArdle-Bridesmaid, and Myra Shaw-Bridesmaid. Will May-Best Man, Jason Chuang-Groomsmen, Chris Thomason-Groomsmen, Ryan Gilbert-Groomsman, and Chris Thomason-Groomsmen.

Destin, Florida in December? Jamie and I went to Ft. Walton Beach in September with 6 of our closest friends and we had a wonderful time. We loved sitting on the balcony at night and enjoying the relaxing sounds of the ocean. We had decided to go the mountains for our honeymoon but after one night at the beach, Jamie, who has not been at a Florida beach since he was 10 years old, was hooked and we immediately started talking about going back to the beach for the honeymoon. We know it will be cool and the water will be too cold to swim in (the swimming pool is heated) but we are looking forward to enjoying a peaceful time. We hope to take a 2nd honeymoon in the Fall of 2009 to Washington, DC.
